Up for Auction is a Rare piece of automobilia, the 62 Ford Ranchero, this was cutting edge technology in its day. Was it a car, was it a pickup truck, you decide...This particular car/truck was rumored to be owned by a neighbor of Willie Nelson's uncle, but we could not confirm this... Ok so what we really do have here is a 1962 Ford Ranchero that has the original 6 cyl 3 on the tree it runs and drives but I would not recommend any cross country trips in it. My buddy has had it since 08 and had plans to build a nose high Gasser. Since the body would be removed from the sheetmetal unibody chassis anyway, he wasn't concerned about the underneath rust that is present on this car. The body is fairly solid with several rot spots, but for its age its probably above average for the east coast. It is has been untouched for years but does start and run. The bed floor is solid with the cab floor having a few patches from years ago. One interesting thing are the Aluminum Step pockets in the bed, not sure if they are factory installed or after market but they are cool. This car has a clear title and is a great starting point for someone looking for such a project. Any questions please email me. Thanks for Looking.
