THE ENGINE DOES NOT LEAK, TICK, KNOCK, DOES NOT SMOKE, AND FIRES RIGHT UP EASILY. SOUNDS MEAN! I PUT A NEW EDELBROCK CARB ON IT BECASUE THE ORIGINAL CARBURETOR WAS LEAKING GAS AND I JUST WANTED TO GET IT HOME BEFORE THE SELLER CHANGED HIS MIND. ALSO INCLUDED WITH THE CAR IS THE ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBER GTO 400 WITH ORIGONAL VALVE COVERS AND QUADRAJET CARBUERTOR. THAT ENGINE WAS SITTING ON A STAND AND TURNS FREELY AND IS INCLUDED TO THE WINNER OF THIS AUCTION. THE TRANSMISSION IS A 4 SPEED MANUAL WITH A HURST SHIFTER. I WAS TOLD THIS WAS JUST REBUILT. POSI TRACK REAR END AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE QUATER PANEL HAS DAMAGE. THE PREVIOUS OWNER STATED THAT AFTER HE HAD THE 4 SPEED PUT IN HE WAS DRIVING IT AND FLOORED IT FROM A DEAD STOP. THE RIM SNAPPED THE WHEEL STUDS OFF AND THE TIRE AND RIM WENT UP INTO THE QUATER PANNEL. THE CAR SCARED HIM AND HE PARKED IT. I PLACED THIS BLACK STEEL WHEEL AND TIRE ON IT AND DROVE IT HOME. I CAN FIX THE REAR QUATER PANNEL FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1000 DOLLARS OR YOU CAN TAKE IT AS IT. I HAVE THE DAMAGED ORIGINAL PONTIAC RALLY RIM THAT WILL BE INCLUDED. THIS CAR IS SOLID, THE UNDERNEITH OF THE CAR LOOKS BETTER THAN THE OUTSIDE, NO RUST ANYWHERE, NO SURFACE RUST NOTHING. LOOKS LIKE THE DAY IT ROLLED OFF THE LINE. THE FLOORS ARE SOLILD THE TRUNK IS SOLID, THE DOORS ALL LINE UP AND CLOSE EASILY. THE EURO NOSE HAS A CRACKS, AND THE GRILL INSERTS ARE MISSING THE SPRINGS SO THEY SHAKE IN THE WIND. THE HOOD ASLO HAS SOME DAMGE AND NEEDS A PIN KIT AND TO BE LINED UP. IT DOES SHUT AND CLOSE EASILY AND STAY LATCHED. I RAN A MAGNET OVER THE CAR AND DIDN'T FIND ANY PLACE THAT IS WOULD'NT STICK.
