Selling my stepdaughters 2003 VW Golf diesel. Served her well going to college but now it needs a new home. We bought this in June of 2006 at 63661 miles and it is at 201483 miles,been a good car all around. Gets about 45 to 48 MPG. I have kept the maintenence on this,it gets the oil changed around 6000 miles and the fuel and air filter every other oil change. Only oil I use is Rotella 15W40 full sythetic. At about 120000 miles it got a new timing belt and belt idlers,new water pump,air intake system was disassymbled and cleaned and the egr was bypassed and vented to the outside to prevent it from clogging up again,makes the check engine light stay on but it shure does run better. Also installed new brake pads,new front struts and rear shocks. Only body damage it has ever had was some drunk sideswiped her on the highway and knocked the left mirror off,insurance paid for a new mirror. Interior is great,always had seat covers and floormats,has had a front end bra since we have owned it ,I have one picture with it on and the rest with it off,it is in the back and goes with the car. Has a power sunroof,the Monsoon stereo system with both a CD and cassette player. Tires are fair,probably 30 percent or so. The only issues I know of is the black plastic air dam is cracked on the right front,there is a picture of it,repaired it when she bumped a curb with some zip ties,got to look close to see it. The automatic transmission developed a odd quirk at about a 100000 thousand miles,it will sometime hesitate when you shift it into drive when it is cold,you have to wait a few seconds for it to catch. i had the fluid and filter changed and the transmission checked,nothing showed in the pan and everything checked out,had it changed again at 165000 miles and still looked great,never has gotten any worse and once it warmes up it does fine. Also had a new windshield installed in Feburary,rock chips got the best of the original.
