Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a very sharp Black 1966 Mustang Coupe with red interior. Relive your memories of old or create new memories today in this beautiful classic and iconic car. Exterior: The car's exterior is in great shape. The paint is approximately two years old, with regular cleaning and waxing to keep it shining. Virtually all of the exterior chrome has been replaced with new, Ford authorized products, namely: new badges and emblems on the grill, hood, and quarter panels; new gas cap; new front and rear bumpers (with guards); new side inserts on the rear quarter panel; and new trim added around the wheel-wells to give it an extra clean look. Overall, the exterior of this car is very sharp. I've received a many "thumbs up" from strangers passing me in this car. New parts for the exterior alone exceed $1,500.00, and that does not include the cost of the paint. Interior: The interior of this car is very clean, restored to original condition. The original seats are very clean, with only one minor tear and a repaired spot on the passenger’s seat. The dash pad, instrument bezel, glove box cover, headliner, and carpet are all new. The original steering wheel is in great shape. ALSO, I have installed an after-market radio designed specifically for the 1966 Mustang, giving you an added feature of an MP3/iPod connection. The radio alone was $550.00. I will also include two additional speakers, molded specifically for the 1966 Mustang that can be installed. New parts for the interior alone exceed $1,250.00. This car does not have air conditioning. I have purchased seat belts to be installed, of which will be included with the car. Engine: The engine is an Inline 6. There is a crack in the manifold, of which I have been told by a mechanic can be fixed for a few hundred dollars. Otherwise, the engine runs strong, starting up and idling smoothly. The transmission shifts cleanly, with no issues. The car has a new battery and alternator. For reference, I've used this car to drive to my work on several occasions (approximately 20 miles one-way with some traffic) without any issues. Wheels/Tires: The tires on this car show little to no wear, with less than 1,000 miles on them. The hubcaps are new, Scott Drake style, which cost $400.00 new when purchased. Very sharp look with these hub caps on this black/red scheme. It pains me to see it go, but I recently bought another 1966 Mustang (a convertible 289), so I must make room in my garage. :(
