A Very Rare 1939 Plymouth Rumble Seat Roadster. Last time driven was 1999 and has been stored in a garage since. Engine turns over and is complete. With some tune up work and gas tank cleaning it should run fine. It was running when it was parked. The body is very solid on this car with a couple of dents. Rust on lower rear fender where water leaks from convertible top but overall the car is very solid. Undercarriage and floor pans have surface rust but are solid. Some rust on lower rear panel. Paint is original color but I can not tell if it is original paint or not. I have posted pictures of a switch on the dash that has something to do with the convertible top mechanism. There are also pictures of cylinders with rods coming out of them at the base of the top frame. I was not aware of power tops in this time period. If anyone reading this ad knows anything about the top system I would appreciate you letting me know and I will post it. Mechanics: Engine complete and turns over. Body: Paint may or may not be original but obviously needs paint. Some dents and rust. Interior: The seat bottoms have vinyl covers on them. The upper seats are original leather but need replacing. Rest of interior including rumble seat appear to be original. Dash looks good with nice orginal radio. Chrome: Some good some not so good.(look at pictures) All is solid and can be rechromed. Glass: Windshield is very good. Passenger door window is very badly discolored. Rubber: Tires are very old and need replacing. Seals need replacing. This car needs restoring. It is a very rare and good looking design. I have described the condition to the best of my ability. It is a project car and is sold as is. Please come check it out if you can.
