Needless to say when I was introduced to this, I was all over it and couldn't wait to get it listed for you! Fresh trade in. It's not a perfect car by any means but it's in great condition. In fact, I just drove about 150 miles round trip for a lil weekend Father's day outing. 4 people. 90 degrees, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING running the whole way. Not a single thing to complain or worry about. Another BID BUY AND DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE from justlikenew2u! Above and below you can see right off there are some odd scratches on the left front lower bumper cover. Yet nothing else like it anywhere on the car. ??? I'm no bodyman but I see only minimal signs of minor paintwork on the car and it seems to match perfectly. Aside from that, it seems to have been properly maintained overall. Nearly new brakes on every corner. Matching Cooper tires look very recent and ride on undamaged vibration free rims. Bumper covers look great with no cracks, holes or damages. Hood and front have typical rock chips as expected. The remainder of the body looks great altho a little extra detailing is needed to remove a few tar spots behind the flaps. Plus a few minor scratches could easily be buffed out to perfection. Otherwise I can count on one hand how many dings there are on the car with no dents to be found. Only a couple of scuffs on the rear bumper cover can be seen. Yes, I see the nicely installed small trailer hitch. No, the transmission isn't slipping or acting up. In fact the fluid looks clean and the trans shifts and performs flawlessly. The trailer ball adapter is in the spare tire area. Looks like it's barely, if ever, been used. I'd suggest the hitch was more for hauling a bicycle rack. Below is the ONLY spot of rust I could find. About the size of a large half dollar. If you know Volvos, they don't rust. Except the S40/V40 lineup since they were made in the Netherlands instead of Sweden. This lineup was prone to rusting on the roof area mostly. Considering it's age and miles, this little spot is a HUGE win versus the elements! Beautiful color makes you want to drive it anywhere! There are a few other light scratches on the car, but my camera wouldn't properly show them since they were so minor. Again, way less than expected for this car and you will absolutely love hitting the local car wash since it's justlikenew2u!! As you can see, the interior looks great! Minimal wear on the steering wheel and driver's seat. No holes, cuts, tears or unusual wear on any of the leather or carpeting. I hate smoke and I don't see or smell any signs of it. All the power items in the car work as they should with the exception of the Cruise Control. It lights up in the dash area but doesn't engage. It's actually typical for the turn signal/cruise stalk control arm to wear out internally or have a wire break. You can buy these arms used all over ebay for about $20-30 and an inexperienced person can change it out in less than an hour. Turn signals and brights work as they should. All the other power items like ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, power windows, power sunroof, power mirrors, power driver/both heated seats, climate control, CD/radio, transmission modes, etc work as they should!! As you can see, all the dummy lights illuminate as they should upon startup. No lights were on during this shoot, altho the Check Engine light did come on during my little trip. I ran the codes with my basic code reader and it showed a Cam Timing Retard and Cam Timing Advanced set of codes. This points to the cam timing solenoid on top of the valve cover. This is a typical failure and there are plenty of these parts on Ebay for under $50. Once the plastic valve cover is off, it is a plug and 4 bolts to replace. Nice and easy. Otherwise you can drive it as-is and enjoy! Above you can see the rear trunk covers are intact. Below you can see the spare looks to be unused and complete. Trailer ball is there along with the proper wiring harness if you need to haul anything light! U-haul to college perhaps? Below is one of the BEST parts about this car!! The integrated child booster seats!! No more draggin around booster seats from car to car! Not to mention the cost of buying them! Sorry no factory manuals and the car comes with one key and one working keyless entry keyfob. The engine compartment is so clean, you can eat off it! Seriously, it's been well cared for. Battery is very recent and strong. Volvo timing belt looks to have at least 30k miles left on it. Spark plugs are nearly new. K&N air filter is a huge plus! No more replacing it! All the fluids look clean and clear and no signs of any major oil or coolant leaks! Engine fires right up, turbo is smooth and strong. As stated, the transmission shifts as it should with no problems. CV Shafts are perfect. Car drives straight and smooth with no unusual pulling or wandering. No unusual suspension noises. Quiet.
