As you know, BMW only made 2 different flavors of the 3 series "IS" model for this year...the 318is 4cylinder and the 328is version you see here. Even harder to find are the 5speed versions of either car. Finding them usable and driveable is getting even more impossible! The model I have for sale is a clean specimen. Is it "MINT"? Absolutely not. It is a respectable reasonable mile and mechanically sound unmolested version. I say unmolested because a lot of these cars are being converted into Autocross weekend cars or have been "riced out" by a teenager and beat into the ground. Not the case here! The exterior is super clean. Easy 7 out of 10 showing only a handful of dings, a few tiny rust areas and zero dents. Altho there looks to have been some minor repaint work here (left front fender) and there(rear bumper cover), it looks to have all the original body panels (VIN tags) intact and the paint matches perfectly. As you can see the upper corner of the grill cowl has a few dings. Yes there are rockchips but very few as expected on a 150k car. Left front driving light lens is cracked but not falling apart. Both bulbs need replacing, as they don't come on. Note the main headlights have minimal clouding on the lenses and the lights shine thru perfectly! The matching Pirelli tires are very recent and easily have 80%+ tread left on vibrations free rims. The rims have seen better days from some soccermom rash treatment but no bends or leaking air. Centercaps are intact but the "BMW" stickers are missing. Below you can see the hood and roof look great and shine like the rest of the car! No chipping or flaking paint. No fading. Above and below you can see the worst spot of rust below the corner of the left tail light. Pretty typical area on the BMWs. Amazingly the same panel is NOT rusting under the trunk lid area as they usually do. The trunklid is also NOT rusting. Bumper cover has one minimal 3inch crack inder the rust spot. Otherwise cover looks great! Above you can see another minor bubble area...seriously only visible when you are right up on it. All of the areas are so small and easily repairable if desired. Above is the final area to point out. About the size of 2 nickels. No, that's not a bad tape line, it's the shadow from the sun. Again, typical areas yet very minor and small on this car considering it's age and mileage. Hence the NO RESERVE!! The interior is easily a 9 out of 10 with the ONLY areas to nitpick is the upper bolster of the driver's seat having 2 small leather holes and the lower driver's bolster having some minimal wear. Also there is a 2inch worn spot in the leather on the steering wheel. Otherwise excellent condition. Aside from the above mentioned, there are no damages to be found on the interior especially the leather. Headliner looks great. I hate smoke and the car doesn't smell of it. Smells like BMW! Below you can see ALL the dummylights illuminate properly with only the Airbag light being on during run. I will say tho, this light wasn't on when I picked up the car. I honestly believe it is a random thing as I've logged nearly 200 miles on the car and never saw it until now. Sorry, I don't have a proper machine to pull the SRS codes. Again, NO RESERVE!! Yes, the factory radio is gone, THANK GOODNESS!! This detachable face Pioneer CD Player sounds awesome!! I just installed it for your ride home. There also looks to be RCA and Power cables ran for a small amplifier in the trunk area. ALL power items to my knowledge work properly. Power items like moonroof, windows (even the safety window option works when you open either door like in the convertibles), cruise, wipers, both heated power seats, power locks, mirrors, dual climate control, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, even the shift knob is unworn! Note the info panel displays "check control ok" because there is nothing wrong. Not even the pixels are burnt out. The full sized spare and setup are intact. The spare tire looks nearly new and unused! The recent Interstate battery is super strong and reliable! No worries. As you can see the rest of the interior looks excellent. Below it seems all of the factory books/case are intact but I don't see the "instruction manual" book?? Yes there are 2 factory BMW keys included! No keyless fobs tho. The engine compartment is clean enough to eat off of!! Starts and runs perfectly. Super strong and full of power all the way to redline! No noises or vibrations. Fluids are clean. No overheating. AirConditioning blows ICE COLD! Clutch and transmission shift properly with zero slipping or shift issues. I have no records or timeline of any recent servicing so plan accordingly. There was a small powersteering leak when I got the car, it had the typical pinch clamps that came loose over the years. So I removed and replaced the with the proper screw type versions and I don't see any more leaking, no spots on my shop floor. The brakes have plenty of life left, work perfectly and will throw you thru the dash if needed. The car drives straight with no unusual pulling or wandering. Transmission is smooth and doesn't make a sound in any gear upshifting or downshifting. Car drives straight and smooth with no suspension noises or popping. Even the differential is clean and dry on the exterior. I've logged nearly 200 miles on the car to ensure it's reliability. BID BUY AND DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE! The ONLY thing this car needs is a right rear wheel bearing replaced. It's a bit noisy and a typical wear item. I AM PROVIDING YOU WITH A BRAND NEW BEARING! It's about an hour job and I just don't have the time to replace it. When you come to pick up your new toy, you'll see everything I have going on out here!!
