Vehicle Detail
First, I would like to say that I have had alot of previous responses and info/questions about this car, some good and some not so good. I am selling this car as a complete package deal with all the parts and trailer. In my opinion, this car is a very special "K" code Fairlane but most Ford enthusiasts say that this is only a standard ordered "K" code car so that is how I am listing it. I have done alot of research on this particular car and have found only 2 other 64 Fairlanes identical to this one right down to the Sun super tach and tow hooks. All 3 cars have a DSO number of 32(Cleveland) as well. All 3 were drag raced when new. Coincidence...maybe. I have more info that I will share with the winning bidder, but for now you are bidding on a 64 "K" code Fairlane rolling chassis, all the parts in the pics plus some more and the trailer is included. The trailer does not have functional lights on it. Also would like to add that I have not found the build sheet for this car. I looked under the rear seat and behind the driver's door panel only. The interior is 100% original and intact and I did not want to strip it out to look for it. The 2nd owner does not have it and has never looked for it. FRESH BARN FIND! What I have up for auction is a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 "K" code. This car is in its original condition minus the original engine and radiator. Does have the original 9" rear under it. Car was ordered through George Stone Ford in Hudson, Ohio. Was raced by Ford Racing Team members Ronnie Smallfield and Dick Haas. Was sold to the second owner after the 64 drag racing season. I purchased this car from the second owner. I have the clear Ohio orignal title from 1965! The body numbers are as follows: Body - 65A, Color - X(vintage burgundy), Trim - 66, Date 27D, DSO - 32(Cleveland), Axle - 9 (4.11)(9" locker), Trans - 5 (4 Speed) Vin# 4K43K194228 The Vin# on the door tag matches the title and the vin stamp on the inner fender well. Condition: Car is in all original condition. Low original miles. Sitting for 31 years in storage. Front fenders and hood have been sanded at one time. Car is solid and a perfect restoration candidate. There is some rust around rear quarter lips and only surface rust on the underside. Trunk and floors are solid. Glass is all good. Interior is all there and in good condition. Missing fender emblems. Do not have the original engine or radiator but everything else seems to be there including a 65 289 block, transmissions, cranks, heads, rods, pistons, distributors, Hurst shifters, etc. Original shifter, bell housing, exhaust manifolds, Sun super tachometer and gauges, original tow hooks on front bumper, the list goes on and on. Original trans. is disassembled nut included. Also have a very nice extra grille included. There is a ton of parts and they are all included in the auction (see pics). Some are still in the original boxes. Trailer is also included. Previous owner has not yet found the keys but is working on locating them. This is a complete racing time capsule back to 64. Don't miss out, these rare barn finds are getting hard to find. Email with any questions or extra pics. If you would like to view the car in person, call 330-592-0549. Car is located in Northeast Ohio and is a very easy drive from any neighboring states just 5 minutes from the Ohio Turnpike. A $500 non-refunable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end unless other arrangemants are made. Winning bidder is responsible for picking up. Keep in mind that all the parts may not fit in one 8 foot pickup bed. May take 2 trucks unless you load the car down with parts. I May be able to deliver in a 50 mile radius for a fee. Will help in any way needed, just ask. Check out the pics. Thanks for looking and good luck! Reserve has been drastically lowered for a sure sale. On Jun-13-12 at 14:20:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Original trans. is disassembled (but) is included. Original Hurst shifter for the car is the one with the white ball. All the parts shown in the pics are included in the auction.
