Fairly rare 1983 Volvo 242 DL coupe. About 8,000 were made. No rust whatsoever, not even in the tunnel - car came up from Texas recently and was undercoated by original owner, who had it for 27 years. Bulletproof 4-cylinder engine with automatic transmission. Runs like a watch. Factory sport wheels. Getting ready to turn 155,000 miles, or about 5,300 a year on average. Recent work includes new: timing belt, tuneup, tires, center shaft support, expansion tank, shock/alignment, battery etc. Everything works - windows, wipers, four-speaker AM/FM/CD player (detachable face), interior/glove box/trunk light and so forth. Interior is solid except for driver seat, which has the wear you'd expect after almost 30 years. Back and passenger seats look brand new and there's a carpet cover over the dash. Carpets are in excellent shape - no holes or major wear marks. Great daily driver, summer cruiser or restoration project - doesn't need much to make it perfect.
