Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this 1970 Dodge Charger SE project car being sold with NO RESERVE! This car is a roller, and does not come with an engine or transmission. It was a very nicely equipped car however as she was originally spec’d with the 383c.i. 335 HP engine and 727 automatic transmission. Options included the SE package, power steering, power disc brakes, AIR CONDITIONING, console with bucket seats, AM radio, black vinyl top, heavy duty radiator, traction lock axle, rally wheels and more. She left the St. Louis plant in May of 1970 wearing medium red paint with a black top and interior. This car has the usual MOPAR rust of the period and will need lots of welding to bring it back. The floors, trunk floor, roof, rear window frame, rear valance, both rear quarters, wheel arches and rear frame rails will need either patching or replacement. I have a complete roof assembly from a donor car that will go with the Charger that will cure the ills caused by the old vinyl top. The front frame rails, cowl, rockers, front clip and doors are all usable. The large parts that are missing besides the drive train include the driveshaft, passenger’s seat, radiator, a/c components, door window glass, and the windshield. I do have the back window and the quarter window not shown in the pictures. There is a pile of trim in the trunk but I have no idea how much is there or if it is usable. Beyond that, if you don’t see it in the photos I do not have it. I do have the body tag, but have not been able to lay my hands on it since moving into my new shop (they say the mind is the first thing to go!). Once I locate it I will post pictures of it if the auction is still running or mail it to the new owner. If it doesn’t turn up I can give you contact information on how to get a replacement made. The car does come with the original traction lock axle which is well, locked up…a Dodge truck axle is currently under the car. The car rolls and steers fine and the tires will hold air for weeks. She’s rough, but will be a very fine and well-optioned Charger once someone puts the sweat equity into her. I’d build her myself but need to finish equipping out my new shop building. I will NOT part this car out, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you want certain parts you will have to buy the whole thing and cut it up on your property, not mine. This is an Alabama car and will be sold on a bill of sale only as Alabama does not title pre-1975 cars. There is no warranty on this project/parts vehicle. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer, including getting it on the trailer. Please insure your shipper has a good wench as this car is very heavy. This is a NO RESERVE auction so bid to win! I will only sell to US, Canadian or European buyers. The car will not leave my property until it is paid in full. Since this is a PARTS/PROJECT CAR, there will be no refunds so if you have questions about a specific part being present or to its condition ask before you bid! Once I am paid, the happy new owner will have 30 days to remove the car unless prior arrangements are made. After thirty days a storage fee will be charged to the buyer, after sixty days from the end of auction I will file an abandoned property claim on the vehicle. Sorry to do this but I've had people take six plus months to recover their vehicles and I am not a storage lot. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early should it sell to a local buyer. A deposit of $200.00 via PayPal is required within 24 hours of the end of auction. Payment in full is required within 7 days from auction’s end. I will take PayPal for the deposit only. I will accept a cashier's check, USPS money order or cash in person for the remaining balance. Checks and money orders must clear before a bill of sale will be sent and the car removed from my possession. Scammers will be reported.
