Vehicle Detail
1972 MGB/GT Original Owner - Original Condition - all Numbers Match – Original Paint (teal blue) This car was purchased new and originally titled to my father (as he had to sign for the loan). Due to Ohio winters I had the car undercoated at the dealership. If I had figured that it would have become a collector car, I would not have had this done. Some of the undercoating has been removed and some has not. I drove it to and from work for the first nine months. In the fall of 1972 I was drafted into the military and the car went into storage. It has been garaged and maintained ever since. At one period the car had been prepped for storage and spent 27 years inactive. This car has 21,050 original miles on the clock. It is not a restoration, just an original, from the factory, car with no rust. I had originally intended on giving it to my son, however he does not have the mechanical interest to keep it maintained. I have too much stuff to take care of, so I am parting with it. Four years ago I retrieved the car from storage & got it road worthy again. Nothing was needed to get the body right, just hydraulic & fuel systems. Front wheel cylinders, clutch slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, brake master cylinder, distributor and carburetors were professionally re-built at University Motors Ltd. New batteries were just installed (4/2012). New 5” wide chrome wires wheels and Michelin tires were added for a better ride and looks. This car runs good & drives responsibly at all speeds. No vibrations at speed. The car has had the Air Compressor & Emissions Equipment removed. I have all of the original parts that came off the car. The original painted wire wheels are also included. I had changed the back glass & added a rear window defroster-type window. This glass is not as flawless as the original. I still have the original back glass which is mounted in a spare deck lid. The listing is for cash or bank check paid in full prior to delivery. Buyer must make arrangements for P/U and delivery or drive it home.
