Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a very rare Mopar muscle car. A 1972 Charger Rallye in factory EV2 Hemi Orange paint with the very cool hidden Headlights. Charger Rallyes were rare to begin with and this one checks all the boxes-High Impact color, Sure Grip rear end, black bucket interior, console SlapShift auto and best of all, the legendary 440 Magnum V8. There couldn't have been more than a handfull of Chargers equipped this way in 1972. This car was also equipped with a number of rare and desirable options-AC, power windows, power steering, power disc brake and the Power Bulge hood with factory hood pins. This Charger is also unusual in that it is virtually rust free. A California Blue plate car, this Rallye features original and solid floors, pans, all original sheet metal and is wearing its original Hemi orange paint. The only trace of rust that I could find in the entire car are a couple tiny pin holes on the driver side floor board-easily repaired and no need to replace. Check out the window surrounds, the doors, fenders, firewall,etc-all look great! The underside also looks great and the Charger is equipped with factory torque boxes as well. This rare Rallye is in need of restoration as its been sitting for some time. It is a fantastically solid car, but it needs to be gone through. The interior requires work, although the original door panels are still pretty nice. The body does have some dings and a dent on the driver fender-nothing that can't be fixed,as keeping the original sheet metal will be easy with this car. The Charger was originally fitted with a half vinyl top(black) and this is no longer there and the roof has been painted black. Very easy to see the rust free condition here as well. The windshield is new and all the other glass is original Mopar and good. The engine is not the matching number block, but is still a very sought after 440. Its a 1971 440 HP. The condition is unknown, but the engine does turn over easily and fired briefly when we were checking out the car. I have not driven the car, so I can't verify the condition of any of the drivetrain or function of the components. In short, this is a project, but one that can easily be back on the road. This is no clone, its a real U-code, E86 440 Charger. The fender tags, door decals and vin all match and are intact. Consider that this Mopar was one of the final examples of a big block, 440 Magnum, High Impact color, nighly optioned, hidden headlight, Power Bulge hood Charger. Very rare and very solid-don't miss this one.On Jun-01-12 at 22:11:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Charger has a clear title in my name with no back fees. It is not a salvage title. Feel free to send me your number to set up inspection time. Thanks for all of your interest. Good Luck!
