1952 Ford Rat Rod Truck Here is a 1952 Ford rat rod truck that was all custom built by me from the ground up. This trucks suspension is all mounted up With leaf springs all the way around. The shackles on the rear are all solid it rides a little rough. The whole chassis is all hand built and made from 2x3 mild steel box tubing. Don't know for sure what the straight axle is out of, but I have it all set up with the buggy spring leafs. Straight axle Stabilizer bars are all home built as well and look store bought. The radiator is a 4 core and cools the truck great, temp only gets up to 185. The grill shell is out of 32 ford I believe, I bought it at a swap meet. The top has been chopped 6 inches in the front post and 5 inches on the back. Gives it a nice little rake. The rear end is a 10 bolt chevy truck with stock gears. The motor is a small block chevy 350 four bolt that has been bored .030 over, brand new flat top pistons, 10/10 crank, 488 lift comp cam, double roller timing chain, heads are stock but have been decked, valve job, and new springs, and sounds really mean, will rock you to sleep. Stock cast intake with 600 cfm edelbrock carb. Transmission is 350 turbo automatic. Tires on the rear are 31x10.5x15 michelin and the front tires are 650x16 firestones from cocker tire. Truck is all finished on the inside with gray carpet. The gauges in the dash are all original and in really great shape but they are not hooked up. The other gauges in the center near the floor are all hooked up and work. Has Wilwood brake kit on it, with just rear brakes. Stops just fine. B&M floor shifter. Has a pinto rack and pinion steering set up. 16 gallon stainless steel fuel cell with baffle. The truck is all painted with hot rod black with flames and the entire chassis and dash board is bahama blue metallic. This truck is all wired up street legal with headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, and four way flashers. Again this truck does ride rough. So if your looking for a smooth riding street rod this ones not what you want, This is a rat rod. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
