Ok, this is my first time selling on ebay motors, so im on a learning curve here. Bear with me. I took ownership of this 1993 3000gt SL on trade for something else. Lets just say what "I" thought was wrong with the car either isnt it at all, or its not it all together. I had a transmission shop look at it and they say the shift silinoid isnt getting siginal from the TCM or TCU (Transmission Control Unit or Module) whichever you prefer to call it. They also stated that with the TCM removed, the car should pull in "safe mode"(3rd gear only) which this car does not do. It moves, but so slight that a snail could pass it up. What i thought was wrong with it, just the TCM being bad, from what I have been told from a reputable transmission shop that is not all that is up. So, long story short, it runs, but doesnt pull itself (which automatics are common to have issues in these cars). I havent been able to drive it down the road, but it is a clean car otherwise. The previous owner told me they last had it pulling itself under its own power about 5 months ago, and it ran real strong. The previous owner also stated that everything power on the car works with exception of the power antenna(it makes sound from the motor, but the antenna wont move up or down(It is currently in the up position)) He stated that the electronic suspension works (sport and tour mode to stiffen the struts) all the power gigits and gagets such as windows locks mirrors and seat work as they should. The oil pressure guage isnt working on the car, and the previous owner said it wasnt working when he drove it for a few months but he got it checked on and the car has pressure, but the guage is broken. Oh he also said the electronic air conditioner doesnt blow cold, but he could tell that the compressor was working, so it 'MIGHT' just need a quick recharge. Other than a few dings and chips in the body that could be touched up and popped out, this is a rust free clean car. As you can see the interior is clean, but the leather driver side seat does need attention. other than that, thats all on the interior. Ok so I know I can get 500-600 junk for this car, but i dont wanna do that. I understand value and potential in a vehicle, and im aware that these are rare and certain people would love to own this one. Im not looking to make a buck on this, I just wanna get close to breaking even. Book on this car running is 3500, Id like to see less than 1/3 of this. Ill let the bidding decide. Lets not play games. This car will be sold as is with no promises, unfortunatly im having to tell you everything I know of the car from the previous owner and the transmission shop.
