The motor is a 1973 Toyota F2 6 cylinder that was rebuilt when the vehicle was restored and fitted with high performance parts to enhance the overall power and performance of the vehicle. New performance headers and all new exhaust system. New Weber high performance 2 BBL carburetor with electric choke. New performance HEI distributor and 8MM plug wires, new radiator, new painless wiring harness installed. New Ultra 17” custom wheels with BF Goodrich 255/75R/17 A/T tires, over all tire height is 32”. New shocks and 2” lift kit. New front window glass, wipers and wiper blades. New brakes installed front and rear with new rotors, pads, and wheel bearings. Seals installed on front, new drums and shoes, seals and bearings installed on rear. Yes, it has front disc brakes and this FJ40 will stop on a dime. No wheel pull or lane change when braking. Brakes as good or better than when it was brand new. Front end and steering parts also replaced new as needed. It’s a very easy drive and attracts a lot of attention! The transmission is stock factory Toyota FJ, 3 speed on the floor and in good working order. New clutch and clutch parts installed. New strong transfer case and new front locking hubs installed. The body of this FJ is nice and rust free. Painted in Toyota Phantom Gray B/C paint. The paint code is 1E3. Paint looks nice and has a gloss finish. The center of the hood and lower edge of front fenders are finished in black texture armor coat to accent the all gray paint. The inside was sanded cleaned and sprayed in a durable black raptor armor finish to protect it for many years to come. High back bucket seats that adjust and recline in the front. It has a rear seat plus two jumper seats. If your need more rear cargo room, the rear seat removes from the vehicle with two pin clips in under 15 seconds. Seat belts available for all seats. Stainless dash panel installed in gauge cluster with new manual gauges. Ye, the gas gauge works. It also has oil, volt and temperature gauge, which all are in working order. AM/FM/CD with iPod player installed in dash. It has 4 spears; (2) 6x9” speakers installed in metal ½ hard doors and (2) 4” speakers installed in the rear passenger area. Stereo sounds good. Headlights, low beam, high beam, blinkers, tail lights, and brake lights are all in good working order. The FJ is also fitted with swing out spare tire and a cooler rack. It also has a rear trailer hitch and trailer ball installed, which have never been used. The bottom side of this FJ is clean and kept detailed from the frame rails out. This FJ was not restored as a national show FJ that you push in and out of a trailer with gloves on. This FJ was built to drive. It will turn heads and garner a lot of attention. You are buying a very nice looking, good running, sharp clean, no rust restored, classic FJ40 that will get you tons of compliments. It is turn-key and ready to go. The FJ has a full soft top with soft doors for enclosed driving. It also has a Bimini top for those days when you want more air. There are also custom steel ½ hard doors for summer fun. Or, just remove all doors and top and run it as a convertible “topless” FJ. I purchased this FJ40 approximately one year ago and the description above is what was listed at the time (except the mileage). Description remains very accurate; however, there is a slight oil leak and a small crack in the hood where it’s bolted down the center. Both were there when I purchased them. If I could, I would keep this vehicle as it’s a blast to drive; however, my wife wants a houseboat and I’m trading in one toy for another!
