1971 Dodge D-100 runs and drives great.....I bought this truck 4 years ago .....the owner said the 56xxx miles was correct miles as he knew the original owner.....The truck runs great and always starts up....no smoke or noise (lifters will make a little noise if it sits for a couple months.....but stops after its warm)......The 318 is in very good original condition and the 727 automatic shifts great.....the truck drives very good too....I would not be afraid to drive this truck a distance. The truck came with power steering .....but the cylinder has been removed at some point....the pump is still on the truck.Does not effect the truck....just no power steering. A friend of mine had the truck for a year and used it on a daily basis to drive to work, I bought the truck back from him last winter with the intentions of fixing the bad places on the body and painting it a flat green and using for a rat rod and to run around town.........I stripped all the trim off the truck, added a rust free door and found a better tailgate that has no rust....you get the old door and the old tailgate. The glass in the old door needs to be installed in the rustfree door still. The tailgate shown on the truck is not the one that goes with it....I found one that is the correct year for the truck. The previous owner of the truck did some not so good body work and put a pretty bad paint job on it. The body is still very solid.....cab mounts are pretty good.....the bed is solid...steps have been repaired but are pretty solid....floorboards are good too.....the little section above the front fenders on the cowl has been repaired.....I was going to replace with steel, there small sections (shown in pictures)....shouldnt be too hard to fix. I ground the trim studs off and ground out the bondo that previous used. Anyway the body is very solid but is a project....a little body work....flat paint and some fat tires....you have a rat rod you can drive. The truck has new brakes and belts...tires are good...but mismatched. There is a $300.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit due with the buy it now or after the auction is over....Full payment due in 7 days.....I will store truck for a month if needed....or more ...we can talk about it.....Please be sure you want the truck if you bid on it.
