Up For Auction A very nice 1984 Mercedes Benz 280SE *TRUE EUROPEAN* S-Class with incredibly low miles, and near perfect body and interior! This car was made in Germany for sale in the German auto market. An American soldier stationed in Germany purchased the car and had it shipped back over seas. The car is complete with 2 keys, owner's manual (in German), medical kit (unopened), and tool kit! <<<>>> I had to put that the car was a 1980 in the listing because Ebay would not accept the European VIN number. The car is a 1984 according to the title. This car has extremely low miles because it has been in storage most of it's life. Which is also why the dash board only has one little crack and the rear shelf is not sun bleached. It is also why this car WILL NEED A MAJOR TUNE UP BEFORE DRIVING. The car starts right up and drives fine, however it should have the fluids, battery, tires, spark plugs, etc. changed since they are sitting 15 years or so. Also it smokes, so it could have stuck rings or need valve seals. Some would say any car sitting this long should have all the rubber seals replaced since they dry out. I buy these cars with the intentions of dismantling them and selling the parts. Every once in a while, however, a car comes along that is just too nice to rip apart. Such is the case here. I'm going to start this auction low and with no reserve so someone will end up with a nice classic Mercedes. These "Euro" parts are very rare and demand a good dollar. Do a search and look at the cost of these w126 Euro Headlights, bumpers, etc.... and it's all so cars can look like this one. The Blue Vinyl Seats are Euro seats, but aren't the original. The originals are cloth blue/gray checkered pattern and will be included in the Auction if you want them. There is a small dent in the rear passenger side bottom that happened when I bought the car and put it into storage 3 years ago. Area is shown in the pictures. The original paint is in great shape for its age, but there are some scratches on the truck lid.
