Here's another awesome higher mile one owner S40 offered by justlikenew2u! Don't forget to hop on KellyBlueBook (kbb.com) and check out the Private Party Value of this car! This car is NO RESERVE! The 03 models came with all the typical "upgrades" over the prior years. In my opinion, I'd rather have a newer car with more miles than an older version with less. Take this car for example, newer exterior features like the eggcrate grill and painted to match bumper/door strips are immediately noticable. Euro headlights and updated rims take huge strides over it's 1st year version...the 2000 S40. 5speed auto transmission (vs the 4 speed) make driving smoother and MORE MPG!! Aside from the mild dent around the grill area, the nose is in very nice condition. Typical rock chips but little compared to it's mileage. The body shines very well with minimal scratches and only a handful of dings to be found on the entire car. That's the beauty of silver, stuff like that is very hard to see. Above you can see the vibration-free rims are nice as are the tires. Even tho the front tires, that are in the above pic, have nice tread, I have replaced them as they were EXTREMELY noisy and cupped. I installed a new upper strut mount which is why I believe the tires wore unevenly (alignment was technically out of spec). Car drives nice and straight with minimal tire noise/pulling now. The brakes work great with no problems or issues. Below is a very typical S40 issue and the only complaint I have on the exterior of the car, a few rust bubbles on the roof. Largest about the size of an old half-dollar. I've seen more S40s WITH this than without. No holes or rust showing. No leaks and barely noticable. No rust or bubbles to be found anywhere else on the car. You may have noticed another cool upgrade on the newer S40s, the chrome trim here and there. Door handles, badges, trunk latch and lip. Much nicer. Yes I will replace the right rear parking light bulb that is out (didn't notice, did you!). The rear bumper cover looks amazing! Rear tires are nice with over 50% tread left. Interior is nearly as nice as the day it was new! No issues to speak of and easily a 9.5 out of 10. You can see ALL of the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with none on during run. Check engine light came on once then off while I drove the car for about 100 miles to ensure it's reliability. I may have not tightened the gas cap enough after I added fuel. It hasn't come on since. Everything works inside. Power mirrors, windows, locks, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, sunroof, heated seats, radio, cruise, etc. Full factory floormats are included. Full factory spare tire setup is intact. Sorry no factory books. Only one "switchblade" keyfob with key is included. Keyless entry works as it should. Everything mechanical works great on this car. No complaints. Recent battery. Brakes work great. Tires are good. No vibrations or noises. I'm installing a new fuel filter as the car was hard starting a few times when cold. It looks to be the original fuel filter, so you will have a new one. Also upon (cold) start there is a teeny tiny exhaust tick that lasts for about a minute or so. Never returning after until it cools off. So minor I cant even find exactly where it's coming from! But I disclose EVERYTHING I know about my cars, so you know. ICE COLD AIR! Recent spark plugs and air filter. Fluids are clean. Timing belt looks like it easily has 30-40k miles left on it with no cracking or abnormal wear. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks.
