QUESTIONS THAT CAN'T WAIT FOR AN ANSWER VIA E-MAIL, CALL MY CELL @ (217) 779-6309 AND ASK FOR CRAIG AT A GLANCE: - STEEL BODY - CLEAR TITLE AS A 1928 FORD TUDOR - 350/TH350 DRIVETRAIN (BOTH FRESH) - SPEEDWAY MOTORS SUSPENSION SETUP – FRONT AND BACK - DISC FRONT BRAKES - RUNNING / DRIVING….AND YES EVEN STOPPING RAT ROD - REASONABLE RESERVE For sale is my 1928 Ford Model-A coupe Rat Rod. This car runs drives and stops just fine and is ready to roll just as it is. Car has been cruised and driven some over the last 2 years, and has had no problems. Typically it was trailered to further away events, but driven to the ones within about 20 miles, but please note if you have never driven one of these old cars, they can be a hand full on the highway, but are just fine around town. The car has a clear title and is titled as a 1928 Ford Tudor. The VIN# can’t be made out on the body tag as it is basically worn smooth……If this is a problem for you, please pass on this car. This car was a multi-year project that was completed about 2 years ago. Car has its original frame under it, but the frame has been boxed. The car has all new Speedway front end parts including a 6” drop axle with a disc front brake setup and tubular A-arms. The hairpins / brackets / etc. are also new items from Speedway. The front suspension also has shocks added. The rearend is a Chevy 10-bolt with working drum brakes. The motor is a professionally remanufactured 350 Chevy with a couple of hundred miles on it, the TH350 transmission is the same. This car was built to be a Rat Rod from day one, so please realize that it is a well built car that can go down the road just fine, BUT it is not pretty like a Street Rod….Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder AND I think it’s cool as hell!!! Look over the pictures as they pretty much tell this cars story. Some other items of interest are: - Stock seat with a horse blanket thrown over it - Basic gauges mounted on a panel for the driver - Stock gauges are still there but not functional - Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold and Edelbrock 600CFM carburetor - Custom built headers – Pretty loud - Front windshield is there and folds out – glass is there also - Door glass is there and the windows roll up and down I smile every time I look at this car because I can just see it sitting out on the salt at Bonneville years and years ago…….Surrounded by a group of biker-looking dudes who are trying to figure out how to make it go 1MPH faster without bursting into flames and killing one of their drinking buddies!!!! Car gets plenty of attention and can be used and enjoyed the way it is……Or personalize it and still be in the car much cheaper than building one from scratch yourself. All in all......I have put what I feel is a very reasonable reserve on this car, so please bid to own........If you don't have the money or aren't 100% sure you want the car, please don't bid....If you have questions please ask them before bidding to avoid problems later. CAR IS LOCATED IN PAYSON ILLINOIS (ZIP CODE 62360....THIS IS THE WEST-CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE) I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY IF THE CAR SELLS OUTSIDE OF EBAY THE FINE PRINT: Payment: Cashier’s check, wire transfer, or cash. Preferred method of payment if you pick up the car in person is CASH. You may pay with a cashier’s check, but please note that I will need you to get the check at least 2 business days in advance of picking up the car and I will require you to e-mail or fax me a copy of the check so that I may verify its validity in advance of you picking up the car. If you have the car shipped to you, it doesn’t leave my property until the check has cleared my bank….This can take 3-10 business days depending on the banks involved. Terms: All items are sold as-is, and have no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied by the owner Shipping: Items will have to be picked up by the buyer, or the buyer will have to make all arrangements to have the item picked up. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer. All sales are final, so please ask all questions before bidding.
