Collector has Street rods, frame off restored muscle cars, woody's, Mopar's, classic trucks, etc and this 1947 General Motors Truck is one of the many in his collection. VERY RARE! ONLY A FEW TRUCKS MADE IN 1947 IN THIS STYLE. This truck went through a frame off restoration in 2006 including: -Body taken down to bare metal and done professionally (the body is perfect). -Truck was repainted Sea Foam Green (Acrylic Enamel w hardener....this paint will last forever). The Sea Foam Green is a very rare color and is original to the truck from the factory. -Frame sandblasted, painted and detailed. -Original Engine Rebuilt (New Master Cylinder). 228 Buick full pressure engine (Runs like new). -Original Transmission Rebuilt, Four Speed Crash Box. -New Clutch. -New Brakes. -Rebuilt Wheel Cylinders. -New Tires. -New Wood bed. -New Wheels. -New Chrome. Truck is all original except: -6 volt converted to alternator (not generator) -Wheels and tires The items that are not 100% show quality as follows: -There are a two cosmetic / surface scratches in the paint (See detailed pictures below). VERY MINOR and could be buffed out. -This truck is incredibly nice and you can take this truck to car shows but it is not a 100 point concourse restored truck (nor is the owner asking that kind of price). THIS TRUCK HAS ABOUT 3000 MILES ON IT AND HAS NEVER SEEN RAIN SINCE THE RESTORATION! This is a heavily optioned truck from the factory and is a late production 1947. ONLY A FEW MADE IN 1947 IN THIS STYLE! Come take a look, you will be pleasantly surprised. SORRY FOR THE DIRTY UNDERCARRIAGE. The Truck is as clean under there as it is on top. Did not have a chance to detail it / just it off! These trucks are becoming rarer by the day. Great investment on a very clean frame off restored truck that NEEDS NOTHING but a new owner.
