I have owned this 280 CE for 17 years and I am the 2nd owner. Purchased form a former Army Doctor in Naples, Florida who brought the car back from Germany in the early 80's as a gift for his wife. The car was repainted in the late 90's and any mechanical issues have been attended to and has been properly serviced via Mercedes-Benz or a reputable authorized Mercedes-Benz service facility. In 2007 the air conditioning was overhauled and replaced with a complete new system at a considerable cost. All records and maintenance logs are available for inspection. The interior is fresh with new upholstery in correct Mercedes-Benz Bamboo Cane color scheme with new Austrian lacewood trim. Rear bench seat is in original leather and is the only component in need of restoration in the entire car. Sound system includes upgraded Blaupunkt Alaska CD player with matching 10 CD capacity carrousel in trunk with Polk Audio speakers. There is a small trace of corrosion on rear trunk lid by the trim and a small crack in the paint by right rear window, otherwise finish is rated as "excellent". Recent service included oil change and filter, new air and fuel filters and the tires were rotated in ordinance with their mileage. On Deccember 21, 2005,this Mercedes-Benz was presented with the prestigious 250,000 kilometer High Mileage Award from MBUSA and quote "Such an achievement requires both an incredible vehicle, and a very special owner who is as dedicated to maintaining a vehicle as we are to building it." This is a rare 280 CE that has a gasoline powered, double over-head cam, fuel injected straight six. The fact that it is a coupe and not a 4-doored diesel makes this a special car. Babied for life, this is a great daily commuter or Sunday ride that will excite and turn heads! Vehicle is available for inspection or may be brought to an authorized dealer/service facility to qualify sale. A deposit of $500.00 within 48 hours is required to secure the deal. A certified check or using Paypal are acceptable forms of payment.
