Vehicle Detail

- It's a Type 2 non-camper, so there's a back seat, but no middle seat. - Back seat also folds forward into a bed. - The odometer reads 74,600, but they roll over at 100k, and from looking at the old service reports, it seems like it probably rolled over one time. - The heating system works (as well as they ever do on Buses), which is very rare - An outside engine oil cooler added to the outside. - No rust on the undercarriage, except for the muffler. - Cigarette power outlet added - Excellent Pioneer CD player added - Plastic glovebox added - Cup holders added - Hand-made curtains added to windows - For California buyers: Bus passed the last smog check that it got in 2010. - I have all the service records back to 1985 Work Done: - Rear brake system completely replaced last fall, working perfectly now - Electric system and lights repaired recently - All sunroof components replaced - Heating system repaired last year - Just passed the NY state inspection in the beginning of April Drawbacks: - Body has a good amount of dings and small dents, including a bigger one in the rear bumper. - Bus was in an accident before I bought it that roughed up the front. Sale includes a bra to cover it, but I never use it, as it isn't that ugly. - Paint has been flaking off in a few spots, and there is a small amount of surface rust in those spots. - Sunroof seal should probably be replaced, but that's easy to do and definitely not necessary - Inside sunroof cover not installed, and it doesn't really fit due to some dings in the metal. It's in the van, but the sunroof pretty much has to be bare metal. - Wiper fluid doesn't currently work, but there is a reservoir installed. I've just been scared to pressurize it, because if it leaks, it can flood the ignition. But all the parts are in place, and it could work fine. Sale Includes: - Heavy duty cover for rain/snow - Black bra for the front - Bentley service manual - How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive by John Muir - Hella Dual Battery Relay Kit from the Bus Depot (not installed)
