1974 BMW 2002 VIN# 4281394 A very good daily driver which has had a thorough reconditioning, not a rotisserie restoration. I drive it to work every day and have made more than a few 200-300 mile trips. Everything works properly and well. The car has 108,000 miles, engine has not been rebuilt but runs perfectly and burns a quart every 1000 - 2000 miles which is not a problem since I change the oil every 2000 – 3000 miles, transmission also runs perfectly but being 38 years old has minor leaks and I top off the fluid with every oil change. Professional BMW Certified Master Mechanic who has been working on these cars since they were new has performed all work I was not able to do myself. He recommended as well as it is running not to break down the engine and transmission. As stated, this car is a very good driver, very mechanically sound and reliable, interior like new and paint is good. It is not a show car but can be with professional, rotisserie paint. Air Conditioning is Frigi King updated to 134A and works very well. Alpine stereo with surface mount speakers so as to not cut any holes. Sun Roof works perfectly. There was some rust underneath, in wheel wells, spare tire compartment, etc and all was cut out and professionally replaced with steel. I bought the car in 2010.
