Vehicle Detail
1954 GMC Suburban Carryall A very rare 1954 GMC Suburban Carryall in good restorable condition. From what I've been told, this was the "DeLuxe" model that had the automatic tranny and other extras. It has the original 248 engine and Hydramatic 4-speed transmission that are out of the truck and in the rear. There is also a spare 1955 GMC 270 engine that I will include along with the truck. Missing are the rear seats, heater, radio, rear bullet signal light, and hubcaps. The body is in very good condition for it's near-60 year-old age. The rust is minimal with all areas affected having replacement panels readily available. It also has all its original guages. The rest of the truck appears good with minimal bodywork needed. Included along with the original 16" 6-lug wheels with hubcap clips is a complete set of later model (1956?) 6-lug 15" wheels! Some of the windows are damaged, including a few "highway shots" to the windshield, and will need replacing but the rear curved barn-door windows are ok. I have seen many restored 1947-1955 GMC and Chevrolet Suburbans selling anywhere from $35,000 all the way up to $75,000, depending on amount of restoration. There is a clear title in my name and it is currently tagged but, it will go to non/op status at the end of this month. It is currently stored in Norco, CA and can be seen for inspection. Contact me with any questions or to view the truck. Thanks for looking!
