This is a partially restored Datsun 1600 with fairly low miles. I have run out of time to work on it and want to move over to work on my Triumph TR4. You are not looking at a fully restored vehicle. THE GOOD - Seats are new Interior is in very good condition Tires and wheel covers are newHead has been plainedInstalled rebuilt TR6 Carbs Engine is super strong - driven from IL to ND Body is straight, very few dings if any Starts up after 2-3 attemptsNew Clutch and Brake Cylinder New Dash CoverFresh Paint, but needs wet sand and final buff/touch ups - Looks good at 50 FT Convertible top is OK, but may need a new one at some point - 2 or 3 blemishes Converted to Electric Fuel Pump The BAD - Needs muffler replacement in my opinion - has leak at manifold Needs new throttle set up to fit new carbs Needs wiring finished - i tried to rewire myself :) Could use a new paint job or a paint job in original white or redI would replace brake pads and see if braking improves - rotors may need to be turned Running board on passenger side needs to be cleaned of paint coat - I attempted to put a rust resistant coat on it but botched it. Rear bumper needs to be reinstalled and some trim pieces need to be reinstalled. Middle latch for top needs to be replaced I am the 3rd or 4th owner on this vehicle - I picked it up about a year ago to restore but have lost interest. When I picked up the vehicle, it had been stored for about 5 years with no driving. I have put about 2000 miles on the vehicle. CONDITION is FAIR but needs some TLC and a real love for Datsuns. Looking to get enough out of it to put toward my other projects. SHIPPING - You will need to set up shipping (ZIP -58078). I would'nt recommend driving this any distance as it is not reliable enough yet. Running rich with new carbs. I HONESTLY believe you could have this baby up and running smoothly in a day or two. I just dont have the time to put toward it.
