Vehicle Detail

Very original San Fransisco export California Bus with Westfalia Equipment. This bus is in amazing shape for New England as it is a CA bus and from what I've learned, it spent most of its life there. Appears to be a 2 owner bus and has been off the road and untouched since 1985. The motor is missing unfortunately but everything else has been left as it was. Both bumpers, front 40/60 seats (Not shown. Need covers.), belts, radio, and more. This bus is a true barn find VW and would make an easy restoration or simple project to run it as it is. Under carriage is solid with minor surface rust. Floors are in awesome shape for a NE car and only have minor areas that may need attention. The body on this bus is outstanding and there is NO bondo or replacement metal, its all original. The only must for rust is the rocker along the bottom of the double doors and some patching on the very bottoms of those side double doors, and also the battery tray. For a restore of course other areas would need work though do not require much from what I can see to use this bus as it is body wise. The clutch linkage and transmission appear to be very healthy. Wires through out appear to be appropriate and in place. The bus stays dry inside and includes all screens for the proper louvre windows. Inside it is a bench seat up front with westfalia camper equipment in the back. The Z-Bed is in really good shape including the cushions for both the jump seat and the rear hatch area. This equipment still has its westfalia tag on it as well. The bus has been painted Dove Blue and looks awesome (May be bias as Dove Blue is my favorite VW Color) though the bus was originally blue white over sea blue which remains on the interior in great shape. If you so desired, i'm sure you could find the original coat quite easy to uncover. The wheels are original and in good shape and caps are also and are in fair condition. Brakes seem to work also though would obviously need to be looked over of course, though they hold fluid go figure. There is a big ol' box of goodies included of nuts, bolts, jail bars, hinges, hooks, straps, just a bunch of small and large original VW pieces that were in the bus. Front rubber mat is a little beat up but its in there and its complete. The dash is un harmed and all knobs are still there. The original radio is in place and complete. The original key remains in the ignition. Even the ash tray for the back is still there. With all that said, this bus is an awesome project. I really wanted to get to it but have other things that have required my time, space, and money. I have looked hard and do not believe this bus can be replaced for my asking price given its originality and condition, nevermind the parts included, nevermind in New England. If you've done your research and you are serious, you'l understand what you're looking at here. With some time and attention this will be a very high dollar bus, you're just not going to be underwater in restoring this VW. Sold with Bill-Of-Sale. Last registered in MA in 1985 and no issues recorded. Will assist with shipping though prefer local buyer. Sold As-Is for project/parts/repair. Matching numbers traceable vin CA bus. Thanks for looking. Text is fine whenever. Calls from 12-1 or after 5pm before 11pm EST.
