1996 GEO Metro 2 Dr hatchback. 3 Cylinder 1.0 liter fuel sipping engine. Relisted again due to buyer unable to purchase. My brother replaced the previous engine with a wrecked car he bought from a salvage yard. The current engine has 80,000 miles on it. He installed this engine when the original engine started getting low compression. He personally looked at the mileage on the odometer of the wrecked car. The transmission shifts smoothly through all five gears(and reverse) I bought this car off my brother after he replaced the engine and ended up never putting it on the road as I decided to buy a Jetta TDI which got even better mileage than they GEO. I drive around 60 miles one way to work. Still titled in my brother name. My brother got around 48 MPG with this car. It has Air Conditioning which blows cold. New battery with receipt. It also has winter studded tires on the front which have very low mileage on them. They make a racket so I would recommend switching with 2 extra all seasons which I am including which are currently on Ford Escort rims. The A arms are perfect. There is no rust on this car to speak of. Major portion of exhaust was replaced. The exhaust guard on the muffler rattles when running and will need to be tack welded unless you want to live with the rattle. Paint is faded. I had hood painted by local high school body shop as it was surface rusted and dented, but its not the greatest paint job. Small repaired spider crack in windshield. No radio(unless someone wants me to throw in an old VW radio). I am presenting everything I know. The car has sat for about two years because I never put it on the road. I drove it up and down my 1 mile long lane frequently just to run it and it runs well. $100 downpayment within 48 hours of close via Paypal. Remainder via cash within seven days of close. Overall a good car, it is not new, but it runs strong. I have seen many Geo's and this one has the least rust on the sides that I have seen. It is a solid vehicle that will not bankrupt the driver at the fuel pumps.
