Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1955 F100. It's a project that does run and drive strong. Has a built LS1 and T56 transmission. Sounds amazing and extremely fast. It's been on ongoing project the past couple of years, but have since moved and I now don't have a suitable garage or time to finish. I have all the receipts. More than $20,000 was put into this truck. The engine and tranny alone are worth $6000 to $7000. Has top notch parts: Ididit Steering column and couplers, Painless truck harness and stand alone engine management, Street & Performance Mass Airflow and Air cleaner, Mustang II front airbagged Suspension with power steering and disc brakes, Ford 9 in Rearend with 4:10 gears and disc brakes, Russell braided fuel lines with AN fittings, Bill Howe Racing radiator, Auto-Meter Gauges, Leather Buckets from BMW, American Racing 20" Torq Thrust II's matching set installed now with run flats, etc. etc. The truck needs a few things to make it street worthy. For one it needs a new BeCool Radiator hose, when it gets to operating temperature it slips of the neck. Also the oil pan was swapped out to a Corvette "batwing" pan. I left the orignal oil baffle in place when I installed the oil pan and it needs to come off. The Batwing has a built in baffle. The trannies throwout bearing is faulty, It grinds at high speeds when depressing the clutch or in neutral. The rear suspension isn't done so a temporary coil spring setup was put in to match the front. I was going to have a 4 link airbag system put in. The setup now has bad wheel hop. The seat belts are not installed but come with the truck. It needs a new matching mechanical oil pressure sender, an autozone one was temporarily installed, but because of the step down adapters it reads faulty. A new one can be picked up from Auto-Meter or from ORW for around $60. Its very minor work to get this truck street worthy. It doesn't have paint, obviously. There's typical amounts of rust with these year trucks. Along the drip rail, cab corners and surface rust every where underneath. The drip rails are cancered and poking through. A patch job would be needed for that place and the cab corners which can be purchased from NOLIMIT.NET or NPD. The truck comes with lots and lots of extra parts, everything I have will go with the truck. Spare brake booster, master cylinder, spare tires, AN fittings, braided lines, senders, tailgate, seatbelts, dropped spindles, brake lights, and a couple boxes filled with more. The engine is a 1998 Z28 Camaro engine and 6-speed T56 Transmission. It was fully rebuilt (bearings, rods, rings, sconed etc.) a Z06 Cam was installed. The heads were completely re-done, machined and milled, new seals, seats etc. Z06 "Beehive" valve springs and sodium filled Z06 valves installed, all powered by a new Z06 clutch. It has a shorty air intake with built in mass air flow sensor from Speed&Performance. The harness is a stand alone engine harness from Painless meaning it only needs power to get the engine fully working. Its all hooked up and runs perfectly. The tranny was not rebuilt, still has the original 128,000 miles on it, but shifts and drives smoothly except for the high speed noise as listed above. CLEAN TITLE. Feel free to ask Questions.
