Interior: Grant steering wheel, custom gauge panel, drag seats, on-board air w/tank, 15 gallon RCI Aluminum Fuel Cell, large tool/supply box These Landcruisers have a 1-ton rated drivetrain. Because of this, I did my best to utilize the stock drivetrain, in order to highlight the capabilities of these amazing machines. I have however, updated what I consider to be the weak link in the axles: the Birfield joints. The chromoly “Newfields” are bullet-proof. I ditched the straight six and manual tranny for the small block V8 mated to its stock C4 auto. This engine and transmission, especially with the fuel injection, took this crawler to the next level. The engine was re-built in 2005, at which time a mild RV cam was added, along with the MPFI. Since the rebuild, I have put less than 500 miles on it. The tranny was also rebuilt in 2005. While I was at it, I propped the engine/tranny/transfer up about 4 inches to keep it away from rocks and allow me to install a heavy-duty flat skidplate. I have had her high centered with all the weight on this skid plate with no damage. Another huge improvement over stock is the F250 springs in the rear. This mod moved the rear tires back about 14 inches, making its wheelbase around 105 inches. (This thing climbs!) The tires have about 70% tread left and some gouging and cuts from rocks. It has hy-steer using chromoly tie-rods and heim joints with hydraulic assist from RedNeck Ram for easy steering. Power steering pump was replaced with a cast iron KRC with remote reservoir/filter. The front knuckles have also been professionally cut and turned by a company out of Salt Lake City to keep the driveshaft angle correct. Full roll/engine cage with racing seats and a 4-point harness for the passenger. Included with the sale is an MPFI diagnostics CD with plug from OBD Diagnostics to tweak if needed. I also have a spare driveshaft and a brand new tree-saver. I have a full set of extended length stainless steel brake lines that I have not installed yet. These will be included in the purchase price. I will also include the boxes of misc parts that one is bound to accumulate over the 13 years I have owned this truck. This was my first car and has a lot of sentimental value to me. Selling it was a very hard decision to make but after returning from Iraq I'm trying to simplify my life. This machine is an absolute blast on the trail and I have many fond memories attached to it. It has no problem keeping up with even heavily modified jeeps. Full Disclosure of Issues:It is not street legal, as it has no speedometer or mirrors, and does not have current registration. It does have brake lights and blinkers. It does have a clear title.I no longer have the hard top or doors. The driver side knuckle seal leaks a little. I will include the seal rebuild kit and the hub tool with the purchase price. It is a fairly easy repair, I simply ran out of time. Notice: Due to the nature of the build-out and the intended use of this truck as a Recreational Vehicle, Seller does not warrant or guarantee its handling characteristics or the safety of the occupant(s) while in operation. This vehicle is being sold as-is with no implied warranty.
