All of my dreams are dead, but yours don't have to be! I am selling my 1981 Delorean DMC 12 two door coupe. I bought my dream car about seven years ago, now I am married, have kids and a house. I don't have time to really enjoy it like I used to. The car is in great condition. I am the third owner and it only has 16,000 original miles. The body is made of stainless steel, the underbody support that holds the stainless is made of glass reinforced plastic (G.R.P.) and the chassis is coated in an epoxy. The car is designed to be cosmetically perfect forever, but all of that came at a cost, and coupled with John Delorean's other problems.... well you know the rest of the story. I am selling it well bellow the original 1981 price of $25,000. I have maintained it well with many new parts: brakes, stainless steel fuel injector lines, stainless steel shift gate, stainless steel water tank and coolant hoses, water pump, starter, window motor, custom stainless steel dash, updated tail light circuit boards, door struts, updated air conditioning system (including lines, compressor and refrigerant), MTX front speakers, front tires, and otterstat switches/ electrical components related to the engine. I am sure I am forgetting some of the improvements I have made over the years, but you get the idea. No work needed, just turn the key and drive away. I really wish I could justify hanging on to the car as I am sure it will only increase in value in the years to come. It's a really fun investment!
