This car was ordered new in April 1980 at Furguson Pontiac GMC in Norman, OK at a original price of $12,096.52. The sheet metal is all arrow straight and this car has never been hit and is totally rust free. The fresh paint and decal set look great and are in excellent condition all the way around. The car has removable T-Tops which remove easily and stow in the trunk, and are also silver mirror finished. They both seal up perfect with no leaks or any wind noise. The original color matched turbo wheels are all perfect with no curb rash and brand new tires and new center caps. The interior is in like new shape all around. The vinyl and cloth are all in great condition with no ware at all, and look as good as new! It was fully redone with the correct materials in doeskin oyster vinyl and special cloth inserts. The interior is extremely comfortable and well optioned. The pace car also received a special leather wrapped wheel (Brand New Reproduction), silver-turned console and gauge bezels, and Firebirds embroidered into the door panels and back seat. The car has the original HiFi sound system with all new speakers, and still sounds awesome. The previous owner had custom floor mats and a nice dash mat made as well. Mechanically, this TA runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts as smooth as silk. With the Turbo V8 the car has plenty of power to throw it from stop light to stop light. The A/C blows ice cold and the car stays cool even in the 118 degree Arizona heat. The car is super clean and was always well maintained. The cars mileage is original at 61,000 and the car runs fantastic. Under the hood is all original other than a repainted air cleaner and new hood pad. Even the original chalk marks and decals are present. All in all, this is one heck of a nice car to drive and will get compliments as well as stares everywhere it goes.
