RARE, CLASSIC 1972 BMW 2002 - 'ROUNDIE' - AUTOMATIC WITH SUNROOF Please ask any questions that you have before the auction ends... we answer questions every day... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You are bidding on a Classic 1972 BMW 2002 Automatic... It is the ' Roundie ' version of the '02, with the cool vintage round tail-lights & the nice chrome bumpers… A timeless classic... It is Chamonix white with Blue interior, white headliner & Sunroof… This '02 runs & drives great, starts well cold, & shifts perfectly. Everything works: All lights work - including interior dome. Signals work & cancel correctly, all locks are functioning including trunk with accompanying keys, rear window defrost works, heater/defrost fan works & blows strong on settings I and III (II is not working), both windows roll down smoothly, wing windows in front crank open easily, rear windows pop out & close properly, sunroof cranks open smoothly and shuts tightly - no leaking. This little '02 has an alarm with remote and a CD player with pop-off face. Carpets are in great shape, original interior has no tears, trunk is dry. Headliner in nice shape, minor age here & there, very tight every where. All seat belts retract, emergency brake is strong. There are a few small flaws in the paint here & there like most 40 yr old cars, a couple of bubbles… see the pictures for details… We would be happy to send more pictures of any specific areas... The Car was repainted in 1991 with factory BMW paint, same color as original, Chamonix White... The engine was rebuilt at 80k miles (34,000 miles ago) - does not smoke at all starting or driving, accelerating or decelerating...The sunroof seal has been replaced, along with the mechanism... works perfectly, no leaks...Maintenance & repair records since 1990, including engine rebuild, center bearing replacement, steering parts repair, brakes, etc... We have had some specific questions about the condition of this '02... let me describe the bad items with this '02... There is some bubbling of the paint on the front valance (under the front bumper) maybe the size of a business card There is some small bubbles on the lower rear fenders, under the rear bumper, behind the rear tiresThere is one small bubble (smaller than a dime) on the rear edge of the trunk lid to the right of centerThere is one small rust spot on the rear edge of the trunk lid left of center...There is a crack in the dashThe door seals have some wear where your foot would hit them getting in & outThere is an old repair in the back seat bottom (not from us) that looks fine, very solid repair, but you can see itThe trim pieces here & there have a slight bend or wiggle, not perfectly straight every inch of the car... There are no rust-through areas anywhere... nothing even close... We park this car on cement, and there are no drips on the floor under the car... This car 'books' on NADA.com for $14,000 average condition. Our reserve is much less than this - it's your opportunity to own a timeless classic BMW. Ask ALL questions prior to bidding.
