Vehicle Detail
This 1970 FJ40 Landcruiser is in incredible clean rust free, dent free undamaged condition. It has never been wrecked or damaged in anyway, not even any door dings. All parts appear to be original factory parts. No cancer, not even in the normal areas which really makes this special. It has not been rebuilt or had any panels replaced, and still has the original paint. It is an original Arizona vehicle that likely was never driven off road, or at least not through any mud. I had plans to give it new paint, door/window seals, dash pad and recover the front seats, but have not got around to it, so I am giving others a chance to own this awesome FJ40. It does run and drive! I drove it a few miles when I first got it, and it drove good. It came from a lower elevation so it runs a little rich at my altitude, but still ran good once it warmed up. The rear jump seats are in great condition, the front seat needs recovered due to fading and a tear in the drivers side. It has both the front and rear heaters. All glass is good. Nice All Terrain tires and original hubcaps. It has a cargo rack on top, and has both the swing away spare tire mount and dual Jerry "Gas" can carrier. The original jack is under the seat and the extension is mounted under the passenger side jump seat. Also the original Toyota tool pouch with all the tools are under the drivers seat! The engine compartment is all original as well, including original breather, dual horns, as well as the exhaust and everything else I can see. It really does seem unbelievable, that it could be 42 years old and still be in such great condition, but if you come to view it you will agree that it really is special. The Arizona title is clear and in my name. I reserve the right to end auction early, so if you want it show me by bidding. I may be able to deliver for $1.50 per loaded mile. I am located near Seligman, AZ. and am near I-40 with easy access. I treat people like I want to be treated, so bid with confidence, and I will answer any questions. I require a $500 deposit via paypal at auctions end, and successful bidder must contact me to arange full payment and pickup/delivery. The balance must be paid in full prior to the FJ leaving my possession. If you plan on paying with bank check etc. then the funds will need to clear my bank prior to the FJ leaving my possession. Thanks and good luck! On Apr-07-12 at 18:31:22 PDT, seller added the following information: I put a battery in it and it started on the first try! I drove it around the property and it did just fine! All the gauges appeared to work with the exception of the speedo. All gears worked fine without any trouble. Parking brake works, windows work, all glass is good!On Apr-08-12 at 12:49:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Today I checked it out pretty well, and I can say that everything seems to work just like it is supposed to. All lights work, turn signals, brake lights, parking lights, head lights, windshield wipers, Heater blower Hi and Low and it puts out some heat too! Brakes work good, clutch seems strong, steering seems solid. I also took the time to clean out the dust, and wish I would have done that before I posted the pictures, as it looks alot nicer now. All doors open and close good, the door glass goes up and down easily, and the rear hatch stays up like it is supposed to. The engine idles smooth and does Not smoke. I am more and more impressed with this rig the more I check it out! It will be so easy to return this FJ40 to new condition, as there is no body work to do. This can be as close to perfect as they come! Who ever wins the bidding, I am sure will be very pleased!
