Vehicle Detail
Hi you are looking at a very original 1968 Porsche 912, a true example of original California survivor. This 912 is equipped with its original matching number 912 engine, also optioned with its original wooden steering wheel and a 5 speed manual transmission. Before we go any further lets get the situation about rust out of the way, there isn't any as you can see from the many pictures taken, all original body panels, also as shown in pictures. Most of the paint is original it had some minor repairs here and there. One of the minor repairs caused this car to be salvaged way back in the 1980's. The fact being that this car in the 1980's was yet to be a desirable classic, cause the insurance company to declare the car salvaged, even on the minor repairs that this car had. Please keep in mind i took several pictures showing you that this car was in no way in any big accident. The whole inner body as shown in pictures was untouched, no wrinkles, kinks, and more importantly no sign of any repairs. All inner panels are original as it gets. There was one repair done to the car it shows imperfection in its original paint. It seems like there was a minor repair on the drivers side rear deck lid. Keep in mind it was not a big dent at all, it was not even replaced, but instead repaired. The paint is pretty good for its original condition, Interior is in excellent shape, minus the dash pad. This car runs and drives absolutely perfect. No hesitation what so ever, brakes are in excellent shape, clutch as well. There is no popping in and out of gears, engine is smooth, and very well maintained. Overall if your looking for a good original 912 that is in really good shape that has potential to be restored to a concourse restoration, this is definitely the one. Also please keep in mind if you are out of the country the salvaged title has no continuance, it simply go's away, i also heard that it might even come off if your in a different state. Cant guarantee the state part but the country is definite. Also i have the original California title from the 1960's that is signed off and declares that there is no salvage. If you have any questions please give me a call at (818) 879-3764. Ask for David. I have the right to end the auction at any time, please bid to own not just to win, this is a five day auction, with no reserve. Serious bidders only.
