1968 Mustang GT/CS California Special High Performance Vehicle As you may know, the 1968 California Special was an appearance package based on styling cues from the infamous Shelby Mustang, and produced as a limited run of roughly 4000 units to be sold in the Western U.S. and Canada. All major mechanical systems have been rebuilt or upgraded--the mission was to add same extra punch with the use of period-appropriate components. No aftermarket brand names all over it, no billet aluminum, no "resto-mod" engineering. This GT/CS remains true to its roots, and is a true old school hotrod. The original 289 engine was completely rebuilt to the original specs and has a new 2 barrel carb, the C4 transmission was fully rebuilt with a mild shift kit, Wheels are Weld Racing 15 X 8 & Skinny's for the front Also Have Original Stock GT Wheels Other mechanical repairs include front and rear suspension, front and rear brakes, and power steering original front disc brakes .
