The car is in Houston TX. It has always been garaged, CT15822L is the commission number. I am the second owner, purchased in the late 80s. Condition: The TR4 is solid. It was a daily driver years ago before it was stored. It has all new hydraulics w/master & slave cylinders, tubing, brake cylinders replaced 3 years ago. I havent had it on the road since, probably it'll take a morning to get it tuned and running well again. Engine and drive train is strong, there are no known issues with the cooling, ignition or fuel systems. Car has a monza exhaust system and upgraded Weber carbs. Body is solid, true and has original body panels, the car has never been in an accident. The knock-off wire wheels are in excellent condition, ragtop is in excellent condition and the trim is all there. All the glazing is good and the interior is all there. Needs: Mechanically the gauges need to be worked, the speedo and tachometer are not working. The timing chain slack needs to be adjusted to eliminate the rattle noise which these old chain/sprockets always make when the chain wears over time. For asthetics the car could use new leather on the seats and new paint. Overall this is a great looking, and mechanically sound, TR4 which is original and in very good condition. On Apr-03-12 at 11:24:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Information added 4/3/12. Questions regarding the description comment about "could use new paint". The car was re-painted back in the early 90s. Over the years it has oxidized, has been rubbed out, and has had minor touch-ups to nicks and scratches. New paint would eliminate these defects - yes it still looks great as-is.
