Vehicle Detail
This 2001 BMW 740i M-Sport has been owned within my family for nearly 10 years, and no expense has been spared in maintaining and repairing this 7-series. I have a folder with pages and pages of records, all of which show service was performed at our BMW dealership and local BMW Specialist which is known and respected within the BMW community (MWERKS in West Chester, PA). This car is very well optioned with: Cold Weather Package (front and rear heated seats), M-Sport Package, Convenience Package, and the more desirable wide-screen navigation display and power-folding mirrors. I think it's safe to assume anyone looking at this car knows about it, and the way it's configured. The exterior is in great condition, no doubt because the vehicle has been garage-kept its whole life. There's a spot of rust on the hood, due to a stone chip that was never touched-up properly. The interior shows even better than the exterior, with the leather being in near perfect condition and everything else following suit. The maintenance is up to date, and the tires and brakes are fresh within the last year. The transmission shifts exceptionally well. Now the bad; the car started smoking a lot recently and running/idling rough. The exhaust smoke smells like oil and is tinted blue. After it runs for a few minutes, the smoke stops but the rough idle remains. The check engine light is on. I recently had the fuel pump replaced with a brand new OEM pump, but during the replacement the fuel sender broke and the gauge now reads empty. I am moving and don't have room for three cars, so it was time for this one to go anyway - thus the reason I haven't had it in to be repaired. We've had a good run but it's time to move on. I have two other new BMWs but this car is definitely the most special and it will be sad to see it go. This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, with no warranties expressed or implied. Although this vehicle is in above-average cosmetic condition, wear and tear congruent with 12 year of use is present. Buyer is responsible for pickup, transportation/shipping - although I will assist as much as possible. Inspections PRIOR to bidding are encouraged and welcome. If you have any questions, please ask BEFORE bidding. A deposit of $500 is due within 24 of auction end, and full payment is due within 72 hours of the auction's end. I am willing work with the winning bidder on these terms as long as it's communicated openly.
