Up for sale is a 2004 Ford Taurus SES with a 3.0 Liter engine. The transmission decided to quit over the weekend and since I travel for work I really have no use or need to fix this car. You can get a rebuilt trans and fix this yourself for around $650 The trans failure is very common with these models the rebuilt transmissions have updates so the failure does not occur again. The car has 91938 miles on it. The body is in ok shape normal dings and light scratches on it. The front valance is cracked as shown in the photos. The right side quarter panel has a small rust spot and the left side has some small bubbles under the paint both are directly over the wheels. The power steering pump probably needs to be replaced as it does whine a bit but works, There was a power steering fluid cooler that got broke and air entered the system. I would replace the cooler and pump together and then bleed the system of air. The four tires are less then a year old. The rims are not pitted and look good. Yes the car was smoked in probably a burn here or there on the carpet. The interior is not in bad shape could probably use a nice cleaning. I did clean the interior of the car and vacuumed it out and that's about all I will do. Overall not a bad car it has been maintained by me oil changes trans fluid belt etc. The glass is all good as well and the AC blows cold. I drive this car 10 miles round trip to work and 60 miles round trip to the airport and then its parked. It has had 30K miles put on it since I bought it in 2006 Feel free to call me 847-624-6669 if I do not pick up please leave a message.
