Vehicle Detail
Hello, I am selling this vehicle for a family friend. It is a 1930 Ford Model AA Truck that has had a complete "Frame-Off" restoration during the 1980's that has brought it to show quality. It has 43,013 ORIGINAL Miles on it and it has its Original Engine which was fully rebuilt when restored so it has the same Matching Numbers "AA3227494" on the engine block as the Serial (VIN) Number. It is in Excellent Physical & Mechanical Condition and truly does not need a thing. I have personally inspected this vehicle and have not found any issues or problems that need to be corrected. I even have a video of the truck running (which I am still trying to post it to youtube and will link it here) so everyone can hear how smoothly it runs. This beautiful Ford Truck has been completely restored to factory specifications, including the correct paint colors of "Rock Moss Green" for the body and Black for the fenders. All 4 tires are in great shape and are Matching FIRESTONES. Truck comes with a newer NAPA Heavy-Duty "Commercial" Battery. This truck feautures an EXTREMELY RARE "Double-Window" in the rear. Also has an Upgraded Heavy-Duty Rear End (Axle). Honestly the truck just needs a wash & wax to be showroom condition. It was restored from a nice original truck that is most likely a very early 1930 model, as it has many mechanical features of a 1930, but body parts of a 1929. This was a very common practice for the Ford Motor Company. That is, to carry parts over from one model year to the next, especially with commercial vehicles. The body does not appear to be a factory "Ford" built body, but a custom built body from a manufacturer such as the Martin-Parry Company or The York-Hoover Company. Their custom bodies were fairly common and do not affect the value of this vehicle significantly. Although I did not personally drive this vehicle, the owner states that it runs and drives without any problems. This beautiful truck was Professionally Appraised on August 2, 2001 and a copy of that appraisal report will be included in the sale of the truck. This truck is extremely rare, especially in this condition. It has been stored covered in a heated garage for entire span of ownership since restoration. It will include the Detailed Appraisal Report and its car cover as well as several boxes of extra parts, Paint and some engine oil and miscellaneous items. This vehicle is WELL WORTH OVER $25,000! I wouldn't be suprised if it eventually ends up on a Barette Jackson or Mecum Auto Auction selling for even more. Get it here now for a great price! Truck is not titled as Rhode Island does not title vehicles of this age but it will include a Bill of Sale and all other pertinant paperwork to the truck including previous owner information. Truck is exempt from RI Inspections as well. For Towing/ Shipping Purposes: Total Vehicle Length: 15'9" Total Vehicle Width: 5'2" Front Axle to Rear Axle Distance: 11'2" A $500 Non-Refundable Deposit is due within 24 hours of auctions end. The remaining balance is due within 5 days. Truck can be picked up in Barrington, RI 02806 or can be shipped at buyers expense. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have and I will get answers for you as quickly as possible. Thank you very much for checking out my auction and Good Luck Bidding!! :) Another eBay member has pointed out several small issues that I would like to bring to everyones attention. There clearly is no spare rim & tire mounted to this truck. The spare mount itself has the incorrect lug nuts for this model AA. There is one (1) broken stud on the passenger (Right) side front wheel. It appears that two pieces of twine keep the tail gate tied shut. There is a very minimal amount of green over-spray on the inside wood of the bed and can easily be removed. Also, the window crank on the passenger door is missing the tiny knob that attached to it. The driver (Left) side headlight seems to be a tiny bit crooked and can certainly be adjusted to factory specifications. I believe the small puddle under the engine compartment is water. He also noted that the hold down clamp for the armored cable is the wrong head stud, the angle of the leaf spring may or may not be incorrect and the radiator is possibly a reproduction. These 3 things I am not able to confirm or deny as I am NOT an expert on Antique Automobiles and only had a little over 1 hour with this truck to inspect & photograph it. I just wanted to disclose these possible issues to the general public. If you have a problem with any of the above mentioned issues please Do Not Bid! Also, if you have already bid and have a problem with any of these just contact me thru eBay and I can retract your bid for you. I am 100% honest and strive for complete satisfaction with all of my eBay items. Feel free to check my 100% Positive Feedback and contact me if you have any concerns. Thank You & Good Luck Bidding!!
