This auction is for a 1998 Mercedes Benz ML320. My father, a physician, purchased this brand new back in 1998 and used this as his daily driver until 2004 when he bought a new Nissan 350z. Afterwards, he only used this as winter vehicle. In 2009, he purchased a new ML350 and decided to give this to me. Since it was given to me, I've put less than 5k miles on it and have really only used it on the weekends to get groceries or for those really big items that won't fit in my Acura TL.This vehicle has been babied since day one and has always been serviced at either the dealership or at an independent Mercedes service facility. The engine and transmission are in perfect condition. They both run strong and smooth and have lots of life left in them. The body is in decent shape. There are a few areas where there's rust like right around the gas cap (seen in picture), along with some small chips in the paint, but overall it's in pretty good condition considering it's 14 years old and it was located in Michigan for most its life. Tires have about 60% tread left. A new Duralast battery was just installed earlier this week.The only reason I'm selling is because my wife just gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, so some of the toys have got to go... including this one. As an added bonus, I'm also including a hitch mount bike rack that holds up to 4 bikes. My wife and I used this to haul around our road bikes and it works great! PROBLEMS Air Conditioning is not working. The fan runs and it blows out air, but it doesn't get cold. It may just need more refrigerant, but since I hardly use it, I never really got it checked out. There's a gap between the front grill and the front bumper. According to my father, a truck or something tall backed into my sister while she was parked at Walmart. The damage is only cosmetic.Aside from these two problems, there are no other known issues. The power windows roll up and down perfectly as does the sunroof. The stereo sounds great and sound comes from all speakers. The driver and passenger power seats work flawlessly. And there are NO check engine lights. This SUV would be a great first vehicle or even a daily driver for anybody looking to get a luxury SUV at a fraction of the cost - Reserve is set at $3,000... For the price, you can't find a better deal!!! I assure you, you CANNOT find a decent running SUV for $3000, so take advantage of this!!! I accept wire transfers and certified funds only.
