2006 4wd 3500 GMC truck for sale. This truck had a very small fire because a piece of hood insulation fell off onto the turbo the fire burned the heater hose into and the engine got hot and when down, if not for that heater hose, I would have drove the truck home after the fire. There are a couple of places on the wiring harness that has melted wires. I think you could repair this, but a complete harness is less than 900 dollars and the part of the harness that is melted cost around 400 dollars. My company bought this truck new and I have driven it most of the 230,000 miles it has on it. This truck has never been wrecked. It has some body damage on the right rear side of the hood and the right fender. This was damaged in the garage by the dealer working on this truck. Also the front bumper was damaged by dragging on a log. All components of the truck were in very good condition when the engine went down. No component of the truck has ever given trouble or needed repair. Nothing ever popped or cracked, or made any noise even when in 4wd . The transfer case never needed to have oil added during a service. I had the Trans fluid and filter changed twice the last time at 200,000 miles. The front and rear axles and also the differentials never used oil. This was a very good truck, I expect with a engine and some body work, it would still be a very good truck. If you intend to buy and sell the parts, everything was good wheel bearings, brakes, Trans, , radiator, differentials ,transfer case, everything. I know all parts of the truck were good 4 months ago and always had been. I assume they still are, but I am selling it as is where is, because I can’t drive it and give it a current test. I have not got the salvage title back yet , I hope I can give it to you at the time you pick the truck up but it may take longer for me to get it back. But you will get a salvage title but I just have not got it back yet. The truck is at the ford dealer in Pikeville Ky and must be picked up there within one week after the auction ends.
