This listing is for a 1973 Pontiac Firebird. This car has potential - it is very rough metal wise, meaning the the lower quarters as well as the bottom of the fenders. The lower front valance is rusted badly - the floor pans would need to be replaced as well - also as you can see, the rear bumper is missing from the car all together. That aside, the good points are that it is a 73 and a perfect candidate for an SD 455 clone or tribute car, it is a real 4 speed car, the nose and hood are in very good condition - these are a usually cracked / split / or broken all together if they are even present when you find these cars. The car has the rare 8 k tach and the 160 MPH speedometer - these are also very hard to find and the cluster itself is in great shape - all gauges are working as well. The correct steering wheel is there and not been re-popped over the year. The pistol grip shifter is there as well. I was not able to get under the car to verify, but the transmission was said to be the muncie rock crusher (m-22) I believe. The rear is also said to be a 3:73 posi, but again I cannot say 100% as I was unable to lift the car to test, but that said, Ive known this car personally for the last 20 years and been for many, many sideways trips in it ;) - The power plant in the car currently is a 350, but its not running.
