I purchased this 1970 Opel GT 1900 a few months ago with the attention to finish the restoration. Growing up in the 70’s in Germany this was the ‘dream car’ I could never afford as a kid. Now that the winter is almost over I realize that I don’t have the time for a project like this and I’ve decided that I’ll let it go before it is going to spend the next couple of years in my garage. I got the car from a guy who began very professionally restoring it before he either ran out of interest or money, wrapped it in plastic tarps and stored it in a barn since 2008. Here some of the facts: · The car is 100% stock · The car is 99% complete; mirrors are missing, I have the missing lens for the taillight · Has been re-painted at some point · California car - No rust!! · Damage (dent) to the passenger side has been professionally fixed- see pictures. · New shocks · New exhaust system · Tires are stock, almost new. · All new brakes, incl. lines & hoses.
