1972 Honda CT

1972 model CT70 Honda minitrail. This is the model with 4 speed and manual clutch. It also has the fold down handlebars. This is a beautiful bike that has been stripped completely and powder coated a beautiful blue. Seat is new,tires in pretty good condition. The special thing about this bike is the motor. 114cc with new oversized cylinder with fairly high compression in the 10.5 range if I recall correctly. I did not build this motor. It was built by a man in Iowa who had done 6 or 7 of these before and obviously knew what he was doing. Most importantly the 6 volt system has been replaced with 12 volt with electronic ignition, no points. Also has a 26 mm Mikuni flat slide carburetor, special transmission, high output oil pump, new cases, beefed up clutch, oil cooler , aftermarket pipe,and a whole lot more I cannot remember. All I can say is this is one good looking , good running bike. Oh , by the way, it is tagged and street legal. Not always easy to find. This pictures do not do it justice at all. It is sharp. Anywhere we go with it people have to talk to us about it. By the way, this is my wife's bike. She loves it but is going into a venture and needs cash so it is for sale against her desires. If I recall correctly this is not the original speedometer on this bike. It shows 4715 miles but I cannot say it is accurate. Engine is all new with maybe 10 hours on it. The oil cooler has steel braided lines. The cables on this are all fairly new (probably less than 2 years old) and the chrome is very nice and shiny on the fenders as they were probably new not long ago . Not a thing on this bike looks like it is from 1972. I cannot say all is new as I did not put this together, I can only say it all appears shiny and new. Thanks
