I have a 1979 Trailduster Sport for sale that runs and drives excellent and is in excellent condition, I will start off by saying this is the best driving lifted 4x4 that I have driven. When I purchased it I drove it 100 miles down the interstate at 70 mph with one hand on the wheel. If you are looking for a powerful, easy to drive, head turning 4x4, that you can just jump in and drive, this is the one for you! The Trailduster is basically the same truck as the ramcharger just branded under the plymouth name. The Trailduster has a built 1969 year 440 big block engine that will put you back in the seat! 10 to 1 compression, almost new 750 holley carb with electric choke, solid lifter comp torque cam, electronic ignition, accel hei super coil, long tube headers, flowmasters that sound awesome, mildon 8 qt oil pan, edlebrock performer rpm aluminum intake. The motor has 80 psi oil pressure cold and never drops below 25 psi idling in gear hot. I would conservatively estimate that the motor puts out at least 400 hp. The paint is in great shape and is a custom base clear job, the paint shines up great and the truck is a real head turner. The truck has a few small scratches from offroading but nothing major. There are some hardly noticable small rust bubbles forming above the drivers side wheel well but that could easily be fixed. The rocker panels have been rhinolined in order to preven them from getting beat up while four wheeling. The floor pans are real solid except for one small hole at the gas pedal, and the rear pans are rust free. I was planning on having the floors rhinolined but never got around to it. The underside is very clean and the frame is rust free. The trailduster has an 4.5 inch rancho suspension lift that is less than a year old, and a 2 inch body lift. The truck has had aftermarket sway bars installed front and rear so it goes down the road straight and drives like a dream, has power steering and power brakes. The truck also has almost new with less than 250 miles 37x12.50x15 trexxus mt tires and 15x12 eagle alloy wheels which cost almost 2000 dollars. 727 torque flight auto trans shifts great Dana 44 front axle and chrysler 9.25 rear. NP-203 t case with new seals. The axles have both had new grease and gaskets put on front and rear. The Bestop soft top is only 3 months old and doesnt leak and is in almost brand new condition and it cost 700 dollars. The interior is in excellent shape and the seats are red vinyl, has a nice large center console, and dash is in great shape except for a small crack in glove box door that could be replaced, has custom rubber floor mats throughout the cab. All gauges work but the gas gauge but I just use the odometer to keep track of the gas level. The truck doesnt run hot, and it sounds as good as it looks. Just hop in and cruise!
