Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my 1995 Mazda Rx-7. It is a twin turbo 1.3 liter rotary engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. It is all black inside and out with the exception of the tan leather seats and tan carpet. It is a California car since brand new and only recently was bought and shipped to the east coast by myself. I had plans of keeping the car forever but my wife and I just had our first child and I can't see holding on to it when I have other priorities to tend to. So I'll try to tell you everything I can about it and hopefully the new owner will have years of fun and enjoyment out of this rare sports car. The car was 100% stock when I bought it. The changes I have made include the Apexi air filters, the 3" exhaust from the turbos back, and the AST elimination. All changes were made for reliability purposes. The cat back system is made by Trust which is the Greddy company in Japan. It has a nice low tone and looks stock. I installed a universal 3" high flow cat and removed the restrictive factory catalytic converters. It barely passed emissions testing in Rhode Island so I am not responsible for any other states emissions testing procedures or failures. That is up to the new owner to make sure this setup is applicable in your state. The wheels, suspension, body, interior, radio, engine, transmission is all stock and original. It runs well and starts up first try everytime. The turbos spool very smoothly and the car accelerates well. The clutch however does slip a bit upon boost and will need changing. The power antenna mast is broken and the original speakers leave a little to be desired. The tires and brakes are in good shape and have probably 50% life left. The battery is new and the belts were changed a while back. The transmission shifts smoothly and there is no 5th gear grind like most third gen. rx7's. The fuel door broke off so I have purchased a used one but it will need paint before being installed. Also the headlight lids are broken. I removed the passenger lid in fear it may fly off on the highway. My friend actually leaned on it and the bracket snapped off flush. The drivers side is still intact but has a hairline crack on the mounting bracket and a scratch across the top of it. Mazdatrix sells them brand new for $96 each unpainted so not a big deal to get them. There is a dent in the passenger fender lip that is repairable and the hatchback clearcoat is starting to lift but not very noticeable until up close. Also there is small dent behind the front license plate holder where it looks as if the prvious owner bumped a hitch ball or something. Its not noticable unless you do not use a front licensed plate. Lastly the drivers door panel pocket lid broke off. I still have it but I haven't seen too many rx7's where this isn't broken already. I could not locate a new or used replacement. The passenger seat bottom has a little blemish as well. I can'tell what may have caused it but I do have brand new original black seat cover replacements to go with the car that will need to be professionally installed. They are original leather replica covers and are genuine leather. I think that's it and I'm trying to be as honest and up front as possible so there are no surprises. I only use 93 octane as prescribed by Mazda and always maintain it as I own my own garage/gas station business. I never beat on it and nor did the original owner that I purchased it from. I also have the front lip for the car, I removed it and just bever put it back on. That will go with the car or I could install it upon high bidders request. Bid with confidence, this is a nice rare piece of history and with a little tlc would be a real nice sports car for a long time. All are welcome to preview the car before bidding. No test pilots or tire kickers please. I reserve the right to end the auction early as I also am trying to sell it locally. There are no warantees expressed, written or implied. This car is being sold as is where is. No refunds! Any questions, please email me and Good Luck!
