Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass S Convertible. It has a nice running V8 350 two barrel. It fired right up after sitting all these years.I yard drove it and the th350 automatic seems to be in good working order. The frame on this car is pretty rough, but i have a nice solid frame that goes with it.These frames are getting harder to find in decent shape. This car was owned by a gentleman from Rockport, Mass. From what I was told he was the original owner and the vehicle was not driven much. The odometer reads a little over 97,000 miles. It sat in the driveway, only driven time to time. in 1992 he had some brake work done and was told of the rusty frame. He ended up selling it to his neighbor who had plans of restoring it to it's former glory. The car is pretty much complete. It does have some rust holes in the floorboard, the trunk pan also has a couple of holes. Depending upon what your plans for the vehicle may be these holes could easily be patched.I pulled the carpet, rear seat, and lower rear panels to show the potential buyer any rust issues that may be hidden. The carpet is not salvageable but the seat and panels are in good shape. The drivers door has a rot hole in it, but the bottom of the door is solid. The passengers side lower rear quarter has some patchwork done. There is a dent in the front of the passengers side rear quarter, as shown in the pictures. The body is pretty solid. The roof does go up and down as it should, however it does need a new switch and could use a new top as this one has a few tears in it.I bought the car from a friend of a friends grandmother. She told me that her husband bought the frame in Arizona but had fallen ill before having the opportunity to replace it. She kinda forgot about the car until recently when a neighbor knocked on her door to inform her that his son had shot the windshield on the car with a bb gun. So it does also need a windshield. The dash is in excellent shape with no cracks at all. The front bumper is like new, the rear needs replacing. I have far too many projects going on to do this one. The frame is being prepped and painted. I will post pictures once completed. I apologize for the long add but sometimes it's nice to know some of the history that goes along with a 42 year old car. If your state requires a title i do have a registration and with that you can get a titl from your state. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
