This was Car # 796 of the first Special Edition Miatas offered by Mazda in 1991. These cars were all done in the classic British Racing Green with tan leather interiors. They also came fully optioned with a Nardi wood shift knob and hand brake handle, tonneau cover, stainless sill plates, air conditioning, CD player, limited slip differential, and also included the A and B equipment/accessory package option. These were power steering, leather wrapped steering wheel, AM/FM stereo, cruise control, power windows, and stereo head rest speakers. This car had one owner for 20 years and has only 35,000 actual miles. The car is immaculate and in excellent mechanical and physical condition. Tires are like new. The original equipment matching hardtop and convertible top are in excellent condition and there are no leaks. It also comes with a custom-fit car cover, and top boot (for when it's folded down). It also has a stand to hold the hard top, driving lights, and a premium Cobra CB with splitter antenna that operates through the regular car antenna. These items alone would cost over $1000. The car drives like new, easily gets 30 mpg on regular fuel. There are no dings or dents with the exception of a tiny scratch on the right rear bumper, which has been touched up with matching paint. A bound book set and a special brochure that came only with these cars , along with original window sticker and records are included. These first Special Edition Miatas are highly sought after by Miata enthusiasts. Every two years the 1991 BRG's have an international "Gathering of the Green" somewhere in the U.S. At the 2011 meet here in the Asheville, NC, area, this extremely low mileage, like new, example proved to be one of the finest in the country.
