Vehicle Detail
Im starting a business in May so I almost have no option but to sell this car for some financial freedom as its my last asset. So a little about the background of the car. Picked it up from and older man from Milwaukee 4 years ago. Car had only 89k miles, and minimal rust. Picked it up for 5k back then. Drove it for about 2k miles and melted a valve. So I said to hell with it and literally spent the last three years and a good 15-20k building it from the ground up, inside and out. Ive personally spent 1000-2000 hours in the garage on this car. I did all the electronics, wiring, engine building, painting, etc. Only the transmission was professionally built and the engine was cleaned up for rebuilding. I made is as custom as a car can get. Blood and Tears were definently shed on it. But It needs a new good home. The Good: -Bullet Proof Transmission. Shifts like BUTTER!-Solid Engine, can handle up to 700-800 horsepower if wanted.-Only 5k miles on most parts!-Purty Interior and Exterior! Aka New Paintjob-Big EVO brakes-HID headlights The Bad:-Needs a new tune!-One finger sized hole on each strut tower. Cosmetic eyesore is all.-Blows a lot of oil out of the breather... Has lots of crankcase pressure. Have a springed dipstick however. (Oil pressure isn't that high)-Turbo has compressor surge at low rpm spooling (11-15 psi it will surge at around 3k rpm) So you can spool up to 10 psi at any rpm without surge, or downshift. Turbo is still in great shape with minimal shaftplay, Thanks to cummins durability. (Would'nt recommend anything else.) (I also don't recommend pushing it at low rpm, the surge will eventually fry the turbo...) However this compressor surge can be tuned out.-A few paint blemishes. But 95% of the cars paint is glorious -No A/C.-Wont Pass Emissions (No Catylytic Converter). Might pass a non roller plug in (no OBD-II lights)-Engine can get pretty hot when its above 110 out. (Around 230 degrees.) This can be fixed by purchasing SPALs, or ducting to the air filter. All in all there is probably a few hundred dollars needed to be spent to make her run perfect and to fix some of the small blemishes, if wanted. The re-tune itself will cost you 2-500 dollars depending on time and company. It is already tuned and can be driven daily no problem. But its mainly to fix the compressor surge. I drove it 1800 miles all at once from Wisconsin to Arizona, and got here no problem. Coolant gauge no runs of the old boost gauge, and I just use the gas light/trip odometer to know when to stop for gas. Got screwed up in the faceplate and needle light change. FYI, I will not tell you the reserve or what I want for it. The reserve is low, its just to protect me from giving it away, and offer me a number if you want to buy it outright. -ThanksOn Mar-15-12 at 21:29:14 PDT, seller added the following information:Battery was just replaced a few months ago, along with alternator (has lifetime warranty under my name). ***Because it is the time of spring break Plane tickets are over 300 here, so too gauge more interest I am willing to split shipping costs 50/50***On Mar-17-12 at 16:33:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Will get an Oil Change sunday. I only use Mobil 1 Synthetic. Also as many noticed I have 0 reputation. My other Ebay account name is gsxxtasy with 2 x's. On Mar-17-12 at 20:07:52 PDT, seller added the following information:It was brought up that I mentioned high crankcase pressure. The pressure it in normal tolerances for a build engine, it was just to further explain oil coming out of the breather which is 100% normal. Also compression test checked out at 150-155 across the board (Perfect numbers for a 6 bolt block). People get worried cause 7 bolts have 180 compression, which is the engine block normally found in a 2nd generation eclipse. On Mar-18-12 at 01:26:55 PDT, seller added the following information:
