Did you know that nearly every movie has a Volvo in it? Never noticed?? You will now! You need a cheap car. You need a reliable one. And you want it from a reputable seller. Inspect my excellent feedbacks. You've found it. ONE OWNER!! High miles and NO RESERVE makes it another best deal on Ebay from justlikenew2u!! I'd like to name this car "Irony". It's VERY ironic that this one owner car was mechanically maintained to near perfection....but cosmetically unkept. Definitely a "10 footer" car....looks great from 10 feet away! I've logged nearly 200 miles on this car to ensure it's reliability. I would let ANYONE I know own and drive this car if needed. Hi. If you are looking for an EXCELLENT teen driver's first car or a daily beater with some luxury...you've found it!! The car is fresh back from a well needed and deserved professional detail. The exterior is at best a 5 out of 10. No visible rust or rot to be found, but the body is covered in scratches. Literally looks like the wild grandkids of the original owner found grandpas new screwdriver set and ran around the car at will! Amazingly there are very few dents and dings, but it's scratched pretty bad. I'd personally just leave it and drive the car until the wheels fall off!! Below you can see the front nose is one of the worst areas....dent up above the grill. Heavy rockchips. Bumper cover, altho not broken, is heavily scuffed/scraped. Body displays light dings...which of course can be dentbusted if desired. The beauty of this car is, you don't have to be concerned about parking, shopping carts, school lots, etc. Below you can see the nearly new matching Michelin Tires all the way around on vibration-free rims! Yes the rims have some curb rash but no bends or damages. Unseen are the super strong and smooth brakes! Fronts seem to be 75% and rear about 50%. Car drives straight and smooth with zero pulling or wandering. Set the cruise at 70mph and go. Don't forget the ridiculous MPG (25-30all day) you'll be getting along the way! Suspension is solid and rattle-free with only the typical (wagon) light rear squeak from a worn right upper strut mount. These mounts are on Ebay for less than $20(item # 110349771853). Pretty easy to see the scratches in these few pics. The driver's side seems the worst with the largest dent being on the left rear lower fender. Rear bumper cover is scratched, scraped, chipped, etc but again, no cracks or major damages. Roof looks great! As you can see, the passenger side is much more appealing! The shine relects like a mirror and makes the poor black paint justlikenew2u! Plenty of dings on the hood as well. Again....if for some reason you decided to paint the car?? Dentbust the dings, wetsand some of the scratches out/touchup and paint the bumper covers and hood...the car would look night and day different for minimal money! Again...just DRIVE IT!! The overall beauty of this car is it's considered a "base" model by insurance standards. Not even the GLT yet it has nearly ALL the options as a GLT would have! Altho the interior looks nice, it's seen better days as well. No immediate damages, holes, cuts, tears or rips to the leather seats, but the driver's front and left rear seat stitching has come loose. I have no idea how to sew, but anyone that does can easily sew it up for little charge. Doorpanels look decent but there are some punctures in the vinyl in spots, mostly the right rear door. Right front speaker grill is cracked. Everything power works as it should, windows, sunroof, dual climate control, cruise, heated seats, etc. Left rear window is finnicky. I got it to work once, but not again. Switch? Only thing I can complain about is the radio....no sound. You can easily install your own for cheap or snatch up a great deal for a replacement off Ebay! I can get you the Volvo dealer code for radio (if you buy one that needs it) if needed. Above you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with only the "SRS" light staying on during run(see upper pic). Sorry, but I do not have the proper equipment to scan the system to see what the problem is. Considering the rash on the front nose, it's most likely a sensor up front....did I mention the NO RESERVE price?? Amazingly the steering wheel is in near perfect condition. Complete factory floor mats are included. Unseen is the full spare setup. Don't forget the 3rd ROW SEATING!!! Definitely adds value in the fun department! Above you can see the chunks damage on the right rear vinyl..... ....and the speaker grill on this door panel below. The car comes with one keyfob(needs battery) and one key. Being a 1998 model, the keys DO NOT have the expensive transponder key making replacements affordable when needed. Sorry, no factory manuals. Here's the meat and potatoes of any solid Volvo on the road.....proper maintenance with high miles(There IS a reason it makes it to this stage in it's life!) ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING!!! Note the fresh Volvo Dealer installed battery! Unseen are the recent Volvo spark plugs and wires, Volvo (replaced by me with fresh oil change) oil filter and Volvo air filter! All coolant and fluids look clean! No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my shop floor. Transmission fluid is clean and trans operates perfectly thru all gears. Engine fires right up and is considerably quiet and smooth. The exhaust flexpipe has a tiny leak, but not worth repairing at this point. Just know it's there. PLEASE REMEMBER....this is a NON-TURBO 5 cylinder engine....meaning it's SLOW in comparison to the turbo models! Perfect for your newbie driver. Below you can see the partially removed Volvo timing belt tag. It was changed (from what I can tell) back in 2008 with 97k miles. I've also visually inspected the timing belt and waterpump. No leaks and the belt looks fine. I beileve the service life on the belt is 70-110k miles leaving this one with life left! No worries! BID BUY AND DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE!! NO RESERVE!!
